Sacramento's DUMP DAVIS NOW Patriots Greeting the Governor

Their message is still right TODAY!
Freeper Message playing on KFBK
If you've been listening to KFBK tonight, you heard some familiar voices replayed over and over again each time Gubner Davis name was mentioned. They're our own Dump Davis Cheerleaders led by Freeper Impeach98 with tactical support from ElkGroveDan and Saundra Duffy during the Dump Davis Campaign last year.
In an interview with Mark Williams, organizer Ted Costa credits Mark's Night Talk Live as one of the inspirations for their group's recall effort. The recall of Mr. Davis, a Democrat who was elected in November to a second term as governor of the nation's largest state, is being spearheaded by People's Advocacy. The nonprofit group is headed by Sacramento anti-tax activist Costa, who claims credit for 12 successful state ballot initiatives.
''This is more than recalling the governor,'' Mr. Costa said. ''It's the people of California saying we are sick and tired of being asked to pay the bills for everything he comes up with. ... We are recalling him for gross mismanagement of the state's finances,'' he said.
We hear you Ted... and for those who forgot just how right our young people were, the the player or the link below. Meanwhile, tune in to Mark's show for the instant replays.

While I appreciate the symbolic message you are attempting to send to the Democrats in the assembly and senate be very careful what you wish for.
Bustamanta and Riordan are the statistcal favorites to replace him. Take a minute to ponder these alternatives before you race off to sign the petition.
Bustamante's historic leanings and his unproven citizenship status frighten me.
Riordan is only a half step above Davis and he'd make a perfect fall guy to assure continued Democratic domination of California politics as the state continues to lurch through the economic chaos created by the legislature and abbeted by Davis in his lust for power.
Conservatives have a much better chance to regain legislative power if Davis is allowed to remain. As Davis struggles with the deficits he will continue to educate the public as to the root cause (Democratic legislators) of California's economic woes.
To: ErnBatavia
But then don't we just get Bustamante? I really don't know. NO!
There has been a lot of discussion on "what comes after Davis" , I think I got them all on the Calgov2002 list but here is a good thread with discussion:

NO NO NO! Not true!!! Even Bart Simpson could replace Gray Davis and wouldn't we all agree!! It's erroneous, in that Riordan or Bustamanta are the only ones - McClintock and several fiscal-minded and integral people are other alternatives. Don't get ahead of ourselves by guessing who's the replacement. The first thing is to sign the petition to recall this a$$hole; even if we don't, it sends the MESSAGE that we're tired of this in California and if we are tired of it here, the poster child of liberalism, we would hope that it will send a message to ALL of the tax and spend libs across the nation. I am so active in this cause, if anyone's got a ping list, put me on it. When I called and emailed the activist group organizing the recall, they said - be looking at a supermarket near you in the coming weeks for petitioners everywhere to get this POS out. - SIGN!!!!
To: ysoitanly
It's erroneous, in that Riordan or Bustamanta are the only onesOK, I'll bite.
Who do you predict will replace Davis? Not who may be a declared candidate but who will gain a plurality in the special election.
To: Amerigomag
I truthfully, unfortunately, and realistically, don't think Davis will be replaced, as alluded to in my post in the 'even if we don't succeed' part. I personally would be thrilled for the state of California and the rest of the 'tax and spend' crowd to get the message that one of the biggest and choicest electoral vote garnerers that is just assumed to be an automatic democrat and liberal win, sends out the message that we've had enough, and have enough gonads and votes to try and get rid of leftist spending crooks. If we don't speak, we don't get heard, win or lose. I would hope this might at least be a frightening wake-up call to liberals who think they have a lock on the most populous and supposedly, most predictably state. NOT ANY MORE.
To: ysoitanly
predictably = predictable
Sorry - I am passionate about saving this state and get incensed every time Grayout comes up.
To: Amerigomag
>>Bustamanta and Riordan are the statistcal favorites to replace him<<
We could live with Riordan. If we are smart enough as a state to dump Davis, we should be smart enough to replace him at the same time with a good alternative.
q: who do we have in the wings?
To: comwatch
The liberal icons are falling... doubt that?
Well, one who does doubt that is the "sainted" Senator Edward M. Kennedy, D-MA, who still shouts from time to time "the dream will never die." And people in MA and other environs strongly agree with him.
Many will always embrace the liberal view -- no matter how much evidence they are shown to the contrary. It justs makes them more determined to be liberal.
Walter Cronkite, the "most respected man" in America, once advised liberals to "shout" their liberalism from their rooftops.
No, for some, the liberal "dream" will never die -- nightmare or not.

I heard the interview, I also e-mailed Costa and asked if he was going to join with Shawn Steele the chairman of CA. GOP? He also is filing a recall Davis..seems to me alot more would get done if folks worked together.
I did not get a response from Costa by the way.

Costa is a pro but he's falling short on the PR side just now. His website wasn't up when he did the show... he must learn to network more with others. Still, can't knock the guy's credentials and track record.

Bump
We've seen the hordes of Anti-American peaceniks grow and it seems as though the world is closing in on us; well at least that's the way in which the not-so-unbiased media portays it. Why is it so? Because the wicked don't rest, that's why!
If you haven't decided to join us on the 15th and 16th when we confront the Anti-War crowd, I hope that you will consider these words.
As we watch our Patriots march off to a foreign land, forsaking the comfort of our borders so they can defend the rest of us, we should STOP everything to contemplate the sacrifice being made for us. We should have a fair idea of what is being done on our behalf. When we turn on our TV's to the News and watch how the media is portraying this war and our defenders we should be furious. Guys, you can picture those martial arts movies that we used to watch and remember that irritating little errand boy of the main villian who always laughed at the good guy when his boss was getting the upper hand. Remember how we used to want to reach into the TV set and rip that punks head off? Remember that anger you felt? Well, this is real life and there are hundreds of thousands of those errand boys and girls out there chanting, "No War with Iraq" and calling our Commander and Chief a Nazi. Did you get that? They have the audacity to call our President a Nazi?!! That in and of itself a cause for action. Now is your chance to do something about it, so please join us and be a brother, or sister to our defenders. Be a true Patriot. God bless America, Amen

There is an election every four years. Davis just won one. Dumping governors midsteam by initiative based on policy rather than malfeasance issues is poor public policy, and poor politics, and thus not only should fail, but is doomed to fail.

I rather agree. My fear is, if they are successful in removing the goober, and a republican is voted in, what in the world would that governor be able to accmplish? We do have an all democrat legislature in all the important seats.,because of that, I was glad that Davis won this one, at least the blame will be where it belongs if a republican had won, he would have been "blamed for everything".

Regarding my last post; I don't advocate violence against the opposition. I realize that it sounded that way, but I assure you that I do not want to see any harm done to anyone at the rallies.
To: Torie
Torie...
I too have mixed feelings about the recall effort... BUT, and it's a big one if you knew anything about my background and my cause outside Free Republic (See my other site
http://crimewatch.us)
An Attorney General who refuses to even investigate the mounting criminal evidence of Gray Davis "Play for Pay" extortion, fraud and corruption, is proof enough.
Gray Davis, Oracle, Enron and coutless other political hacks and corporate theives belong in federal prison under RICO convictions. You're right... if we leave it to the "state", controlled in every possible way by liberal Democrats, it will never happen. Sadly, John Ashcroft and U.S. DOJ will have it's hands tied by more pressing the issues of Domestic Terrorism... even though I consider people like Davis a threat to our very way of life.

"While I appreciate the symbolic message you are attempting to send to the Democrats in the assembly and senate be very careful what you wish for. " I am not one of those who believes in "sending messages" - I want Davis GONE .
And as far as "carefull what you wish for", I would prefer to kill one rat and deal with whatever else crawls out, then stand around watching him crap on my floor.
