Don't worry about sulfuric acid - it can't do much by itself. Nitric acid, however, can be used to make explosives - easily.

Terrorists might be interested in damaging, or destroying a major bridge somewhere in CA. A large quantity of sulphuric acid dumped on a bridge would do a great deal of damage before being cleaned up ... resulting in closure for months, if not years. That's why trucks transporting hazardous material of this type are routed around large bridges and tunnels.
