CINCINNATI -- A man who spent time in jail for breaking his infant daughter's leg is back in jail for allegedly abusing the girl again.

McPherson was being monitored by Hamilton County Job and Family Services until about five months ago, but the case was closed because he appeared to be cooperating, Paolello reported. This infuriates me!
Hurt a child once and you never ever get a second chance, never ever!

Court records also show McPherson was ordered to stay away from his daughter until completing classes in parenting and behavioral control. Guess those classes really helped....

Anyone who would intentionally hurt a child once, WILL do it again. Kill the bastard, he won't get any better.

Wow...one of the TV magazine shows (I think it was NBC's Dateline) just did a hagiographic piece on this family with a distinct "falsely accused" slant. The reporter tried to put the two prosecutors in the dock, but they both adamantly maintained that the guy was guilty. His defense put on some medical experts who said the kid had a rare brittle bone disorder. And MacPherson's wife stood by him with fierce loyalty.
Looks like he was hurting his kid all along.

Police said that McPherson beat his daughter, who is now 21 months old. The girl is being treated at Children's Hospital, and McPherson is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center on $1 million bond. How can anybody call this animal a parent?.( My appologies to the animals)He should be shot on the spot no questions asked, period!(Of course if proven guilty,).

Any thoughts on this "outstanding example of fatherhood"
I have some ideas, but I'd be banned for life + 20 for posting them.....
What a dirtbag.....
I hope that that the poor child gets placed somewhere safe with lots and lots of love... Thanks to this punk, her scars will be far worse than a broken leg. Hope he's proud of himself.

This is the type of guy that just needs to be killed, plain and simple. It's the Corleone Corollary. In the novel of The Godfather, Don Corleone tells [mumblesomeone] that there are people in the world who practically walk around shouting "Kill me! Kill me!"
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present proof in the form of Michael McPherson. QED.

Beckett,
You sure this was the guy on Dateline. My wife and I saw that piece and our take was that the dad was legit and the CPS nazis were the one's out of control.
I seem to remember from the Dateline thing that it was a little boy and that the dad was older than 22, (but then again, I've slept since then.

Saw the show in queston. Different family, as I recall the child in question was a boy, and did show signs consistent with brittle bone disease, according to the leading expert in this genetic disorder.

Pretty sure this is the same guy. I recognize the face. His age is right (they were a very young couple), and the abuse victim was his daughter.
I did some searching and it looks like Dateline hasn't got a website. I searched 48Hours and 60 Minutes, but couldn't find any such segment. Google gave me nada, as did a search of CourtTV.
Nevertheless I am pretty confident this is the same guy. The reporting above, sparse though it is, jibes in all respects with the story I saw on one of the TV news magazine shows.
