Well, we have to do something for the future, and for our kids to remind them that a future is still there, and there is nothing like planting seeds in the middle of a snowy icy February to teach them that all things come to those who wait...
Go for it. Winter Sowing is so cool, and so cheap, with no lights, gear, etc. to buy.... I label all my winter-sown flats (after labeling the varieties on the side) on the botttom with a "Speedy" marker that says "Take this ! Saddam! I choose life, while you choose death"
Reminds my grandkids that there is evil in this world, and that we have to work to protect life, while we fight against the forces of death, even if it means some seedlings have to be cut short before their time, which is so sad...

Actually Ron Paul is a libertarian and their platform calls for making our borders completely open. In that case, he must be an anarchist! :_)

How long was the speech and just how close are we to war? The sppech was 10 minutes long. I don't know how close we are to war in days, but my impression from President Bush's words and body language was that, as far as any extenal events changing our mind, we are at war and Saddam better start running for cover now. As he was saying we would welcome a further UN Security Council resolution, he was shruging and doing that side-mouth squint thing he does.

You guys need to stop using the word snippy. Unless your not guys!!!!!!!!!! LOL !!!!!!!!!!

Not the face of the earth, just a large reduction in the number of people on it who are bent on the destruction of this country and a major attitude adjustment on the part of those still harboring ill will towards us who are still around when the first part of the job is done.

Thanks for the ping Race. The President sure had his "Texas eyes" burning today!

What on earth will the left say about that? Prediction: If Saddam does attack us with chemical/biological/nuclear weapons, the left will then chastise President Bush from a new angle. This time they'll cluck their tongues and say, with mock ruefulness, "We warned you...if you had just left him alone this would never have happened! He was just defending his country, like ANY leader would! Let these deaths be on YOUR CONSCIENCE, President Bush!"

According to their itinerary (
http://www.uksociety.org/), they should have been in Istanbul a day or so ago.
I wonder how much support they are getting from the happy peoples of Turkey........

Hey, not me, I am just the FR messenger! Trudi "rediscovered" nature's method and originated the forum on GardenWeb...
But, for those of you who worry about the color of your thumbs? Give it a look, and then stick those thumbs up for our side!
And, then, get your kids involved. It is good for them, honest!

Beware when he does that side-mouth squint.
I just received a Breaking News e-mail from CNN warning U.S. citizens traveling abroad to be concerned about chemical or biological attacks overseas.
Sitting in my office directly across the street from the WTC, I shudder to think what will happen next.

Ron Paul is a LOSERtarian who runs as a Republican (which is the only thing better for LOSERtarians to do than run as LOSERtarians in which the only races they are able to win are less important than regional dogcatcher).
You'd best smile when you say that . . .
To: Teacher317
I cannot imagine any president having the will for such a move.....
To: krodriguesdc
you are, to say the least, very arrogant... Oh, so I'm arrogant? I think you cornered that market with your comment in post #104.
