I wonder how young the little teeniebopper girlies were that Iraqi agents videotaped Ritter with?
Clearly, he is now acting 100% under Iraqi control.
My guess is blackmail, very easy to arrange for a horny middle aged perv with a "thing" for young girls.

"The loss of the space shuttle Columbia and its crew of seven is a national tragedy. Time is needed for Americans to mourn. I hope that President Bush will do the right thing by slowing down his march to war and focusing instead on the healing that such a blow to national pride requires." - at letter to the NYT editor by some fruit in San Francisco
It's depressing how many people there are in this country who think - more accurately, feel - that we need "healing" after the crash of a spacecraft. Yeah, it was a tragic event, but I didn't lose any sleep over it. But perhaps I'm just an insensitive Neanderthal, because I didn't have to go through a "healing" period after 9/11 either. After a couple hours of shocked silence, I immediately wanted the blood of Islamists everywhere.

"Another classic Times' Man on the Street said that it "reinforces my belief that we should find diplomatic solutions instead of threatening other countries with war." Diplomacy is impossible without the threat of force to back it up.

And now the shuttle had presented a new argument for appeasement. Warning, Great Satan: Your money and technology and little gadgets cannot insulate you from disaster! That's funny. I don't ever remember such a proposition being issued by the 'Great Satan'...............Daniel shouting, that's another thing.................

The Times' Man on the Street always seems to be standing on a street suspiciously close to Central Park West. For one year, I don't believe the Times has managed to interview a single person who supports war with Iraq in a nation ablaze with war fever. Great stuff. I love it!

It's now Day 17 and counting of the Times' refusal to mention Ritter's arrest. Media bias? Naaaaah, ain't no such thing.
Great column! I love the way she dishes it out.

If it didn't violate the "wall of separation," the Times likely would be exclaiming: "It was the will of Allah!" Man, I love this woman!!!

Another masterpiece from the brilliant and beautiful Ann Coulter!
(And of course, the usual jealous fat cows have to show up on the thread to bleat their irrelevant and untrue "she should gain weight" and "get some sun", etc. slaps at Ann.)

Did any of you watch the Iraqi news conference today from Baghdad after Powell's presentation to the security council?I wish I could remember the exact quote, but the Iraqi general made a reference to Scott Ritter--something about a theory about how Iraq is innocent, but false evidence is set up? No media commented about his assertions. He basically said Ritter says we're innocent,so you must believe it.

At least the Times could count on stability and permanence from John Hartpence Kerry. Let me tell you something, John Huang2..........there's nothing admirable nor 'clever' about this statement.
It's disgusting. Even if it is directed at a Democrat.
"Hartpence" Kerry. Not some WASP like Ann, but the 'stupid' guy didn't realize he was Jewish, right?
Nice move gang. Tell Arafat I said hello.

Okay, but she's leaving out (and missing) one of the most overused phrases of the Columbia "tragedy" (first: I ask all of you, bluntly, HOW GREAT A TRAGEDY REALLY WAS IT?) media feeding-frenzy -- "Healer-in-Chief". Sometimes the President must be "Healer-in-Chief", spouted the news outlets. Shut UP, shut UP, shut UP. This kind of blather from our own media makes honest Americans sound like a bunch of schoolchildren ready to pee our pants at any moment.
No one I know has been to therapy over the Shuttle explosion. No one has needed "time to heal". No one even really TALKS about it. What we're talking about is: "Hey, we're *bleep*ing strapped for cash," and kibitzing about the war. America is not so weak that she needs her own personal psychotherapist. The media would have you believe otherwise; the media would have you believe America is in enrolled in several twelve-step programs and needs "psychic healing" on a Woody Allen angst level.
BS! Grrr. Sorry. Just that this one has REALLY ticked me off. It demeans the country. We take a licking and we keep on ticking. As Churchill said, if you find yourself in Hell...*keep going*. The fact that Bush spoke at the memorial service is expected; the speech was touching. However, I think the nation could have gotten along just fine without it (except for all the libs who would be crying in the corner and asking where Bush was).
Grr. /rant off
