Congratulations are in order to Oregon's tiny but emerging conservative media community. Thanks to the likes of Gregg Clapper, Jayne Carroll, Larry George, Lars Larson and all the others.
Thanks to Jim Pasero and Briget Barton of Brainstorm Magazine. Thanks also to Oregon's Libertarian community, websites like Watchdog dot com and all the individual volunteers who worked for the No on 28 effort.
Well, folks, Oregon's liberals are getting even with you.....(snip)

Thanks! There was a way bigger turnout of voters than usual for a measure. Oregonians aren't brain-dead yet. Not that the Democrats haven't been trying to bore us to death.

A big Bravo Zulu! However, just as a dog returns to it's vomit and a washed sow returns to wallow in the mud,
they WILL be back. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.

Sure thing. These leftists must get back in the schoolroom & make the mushminds see that not one cent is their money but the states. One step back but two forward when the time comes.

Cut taxes, harvest timber on government land, hatch fish, irrigate farms, abolish all roadless areas, abolish the UN, abolish the ESA, drill for oil in ANWR and off shore and buy more SUV's!

Way to go!

Congrats!
They're trying the same thing in Missouri. Cut the visable services to make the citizens scream.
I didn't think patting Libertarians on the back was allowed anymore. "Dont'cha know they're part of the axis of evil?"

Nice article! Thanks for the ping!
BTW, have you heard that Multnomah County is raising taxes? I hope this isn't the start of a trend.

I think the City of Portland and Multnomah County are both raising taxes. I have heard that Portland is, at the very least, raising business taxes. I can't tell you how many times I've heard Vera say that they are striving to be more "business friendly." This won't help their image.
Yes, I can believe they won't cut from many of their pet projects, no matter how unpopular they are.
