Yeah, and the "Maginot Line" could hold back the Germans.
Ah, yes, the French UN Ambassador's "Maginot Line Moment!" (I can almost envision the next Mark Steyn article using that one...)
To: dfwgator
LOL - maybe we could name the new upgraded inspection work as "Operation Maginot Line".

Call your local NBC affiliates and raise Hell. It works when a public firestorm is created. Tell them you are changing the channel.

Oh yeah, containment has worked really well. (sarcasm) "Containment" is meaningless without force to back it up. Even France knows that.
So I think France is basically saying that force is an option, but that the Security Council should be the ones to decide when force is required. Bush has already stated that we are not going to be bound by the UN.
This is indeed a retreat on France's part. Their surrender can't be too far off.

"Well I'm getting my kids out of the gov't. induction centers at the end of this year. When they join me at Ft. Riley, they'll be going to DoD schools. Last vestiage of a decent public school system left in this country."
Good for you! You will see an improvement I predict! Be sure to have one of those good dinner table discussions this evening. I am convinced these have great effect!! My parents did this while I was in P.S. Blessings to your family!

Now they have painted themselves into the corner where the Bush cabinet has them completely without any room for dissent. You underestimate their ability to lie to others and to themselves. Powell is now obviously Bush's puppet. The UN is obviously controlled by the US. Etc.
To: Guenevere
Yeah he needs to postpone the trip for about three months. Then he can see for himself what we were talking about here today. Cause the U.S. military will have secured the country by then and all the WMD's will be out in the open.

Do you have anything substantial we could boycott? ;o) My thoughts exactly!
LOL, I had a *feeling* that I would get that response! :o)
I think the biggest $$ hit France would feel from us would be if thousands of US tourists boycotted France immediately. US tourists make up a BIG part of their tourism. It would be even better if UK residents joined us in this, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

What about all the idiot Americans that take holiday in France. I just cannot believe these people when they proudly announce "I'm going to France for vacation". The travel industry should make sure this stops.
