A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 2/4/03

In a day filled with emotions, tributes, and tears, President Bush and First Lady Laura attended the memorial service for the astronauts whose lives were lost in the space shuttle Columbia tragedy on Saturday. The President spoke to the crowd of at least 10,000 teary eyed mourners, and eulogized the Columbia crew. In the closing moments of his speech, Bush spoke to the children of the crew by saying, 'And to the children who miss your Mom or Dad so much today, you need to know, they love you, and that love will always be with you. They were proud of you. And you can be proud of them for the rest of your life.' The First Couple returned to Washington this evening. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya.

Yes. It was Lani McCool, wife of pilot William McCool, and her sons Christopher and Sean.

What a stunningly beautiful family he left behind. I counted three or four fine boys. They have lost their dad at such a critical point in their lives. The one next to mom was hugging and consoling her. It was heartbreaking.

"It was heartbreaking."

I didn't watch, but the DOSE's photos have gotten some of the sadness accross to me. Thing is, we're gonna have plenty more of these sad memorials if the Leftist ANTI-American RATS who pretend to be pro-Peace don't quit aiding and abetting the Iraqi TyrantThug and we gotta send OUR boys into Baghdad. If the DemonRATS and the GUTLESS French and the Inexplicable Germans would just side with the Good Guys on this, Sodom'sInsane would wet his trousers and EXILE hisself outta Iraq that day!!

Any American blood lost in invading Iraq is TOTALLY on the hands of the DemonRATS who refuse to support the Commander-in-Chief on the War on Terror, IMHO!!

I'll see y'all this evening...MUD

Oh I agree! It is certainly a matter of taste though, certainly not right or wrong. I do like some of the praise and worship, but I LOVE the old hymns. I know there's a group out there that has a whole program that is introducing the old hymns especially for young families.

I was at Bob Jones during the late '70s! The whole fine arts department was wonderful!

It's kind of the same as yesterday. I'm leaving work early today and taking tomorrow off so I can see if some rest and the heating pad will take care of it. if not, I'm going to the doctor.

Ronald Reagan will always be my hero, But George W. Bush is well on his way to surpassing the accomplishments of Reagan. His vision and his moral clarity is equal to Ronald Reagan, But I believe his sincere love for the common man outshines Ronald Reagan by leaps and bounds. The fact is George W. Bush is a kind hearted Godly man who practices what he preaches, and I love him for it.

I, too, had always considered Ronald Reagan my hero - until George W. Bush came along. Never did I think that I would support a President as much as I did him, but I was wrong. Never have I cared for, loved, respected, admired, prayed for and worried more about any President...he touches me in the most personal of ways..he makes me want to be a better person, a better citizen, a person closer to God..he inspires me..he commands my attention and respect..when he speaks, I listen.

And NEVER have I trusted a President more than I do this one. He has become like a family member to me..I fret when he appears tired or sad or deeply troubled. But most of all, I see in him a man that loves his God, his country and his fellow citizens more than any I have ever seen. And what others see as war-mongering is his deep desire and sense of obligation and duty..to keep us safe and to spread democracy, liberty and freedom around the world. I pray that the Lord will lift the scales from the eyes of those that do not realize the gift we have been given in President George W. Bush...he surpasses even Reagan.

Charles Krauthammer mention on FX News that in his comments at the OK City memorial, Clinon said, "I" ten times and "Hillary and I" another rive times.

Went on to say that GWB did not say "I" one time at NASA and in that comes his strength, that even those who disagree with Bush think he's doing what he thinks is best for the country and it's not about himself.

I loved it!
