Thanks for the ongoing commentary - much needed info. Keep it coming. God be with our President and these families today.

I was comforted to hear those wonderful hymns that speak of faith in Jesus Christ.

"I don't know how he made it thru Sat's speech."
He almost didn't. I noticed that he was blinking alot. A trick one uses when tears well up that you don't want streaming down your face. At the end, I thought I detected a tear on his right (viewer's left) cheek. At the end, when he said "May God bless the grieving families, and may God continue to bless America." his voice cracked on the second "God". He has such a look of sadness on his face...not a contrived, put on look, but a deep, hurting sadness.

Crowd will join in singing the national hymn "God of Our Fathers."
God of our fathers, whose almighty hand,
Brings forth in beauty all the starry band
Of shining worlds in splendour through the skies
Our grateful songs before Thy throne arise.

Bill McCollum was a bad nominee. Another nominee could have held Connie Mack's seat.
To: Jael
There are some wonderful theads going about commander Husband and one of the others, and their vibrant faith. Just as with Columbine, many more will hear of Jesus through their deaths than would have through their lives.
May the peace that passes all understading surround ALL of the surviving families.

I'm grateful for chatter free C-SPAN. So moving. I'm crying for these families and their loss. Only President Bush can give this memorial the full measure of sincere sympathy and grace.
When President Reagan passes, I am happy that President Bush, not x42, will deliver the eulogy.
To: NautiNurse
Thanks for the screen captures. I think that helps the people who can't watch.
