Thoughts on Iraq

Bush’s explanation in his State of the Union speech for why we need to attack Iraq right now was unconvincing. Here are a couple of questions that have not been answered:

Where is the link between al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein? Not only has the Bush administration given us zero evidence of a connection, but many experts think that a connection is unlikely given the fact that one society is secularist and the other is fundamentalist... There is no reason to think that they are on the same side, fighting for the same cause.

Is the fact that Saddam Hussein has violated a United Nations resolution really a justified reason for going to war? Many countries have violated specific U.N. resolutions and not provoked war. A prime and very current example of that is North Korea, which has violated U.N. resolutions and treaties as they pursue a nuclear arms program, but which we feel we can contain through diplomacy ... could this be because they don’t have oil?

Here are some recent articles from prominent foreign policy experts that explain more about why I am opposed to this war right now:

What are her thoughts on nasal sprays. I would listen to what she has to say about that? How many quarts per nostril does she need per application? Is her inhaler connected to 20 gallon air compressor in order to reach the heights of her nasal turbinates?

Question 1: Think again...even the limited intellect of Babs should raise the spectre of the old adage...."the enemy of my enemy is my friend."

Question 2: Let's not be so dense as to think this is really about the U.N., weapons inspectors, resolutions, and other such nonsense. Those are all tied up with a bow for whackjobs like Babs to look at. In the meantime, it's the WMD, stupid.

And now here's my question for Babs: What would you do if you had a brain?

why I am opposed to this war right now:

Right now meaning a Republican is in the White House. Don't recall her "thoughts" on Somalia Haiti Bosnia Yugoslavia missle in a $10 tent and hitting a camel in the butt. You get the message. Seems her lover was in the white house at the time.

Streisand's Thoughts on Iraq

Thoughts? She has thoughts? I was always under the impression that you had to have a functional brain to have thoughts. The very concept of Streisand thinking is bizarre.

You can't lie to the informed Babs. We do have oil, you and your friends just won't let us produce it.

Yes, but the writing is atrocious. It's hard to get through even the first sentence.

ROFL!

I'm not sure that Babs can comprehend this or focus long enough to read THIS lengthy article, but it's another answer to her stupid question #1.

Somebody should introduce Babs to Phil Spector. They'd make a great couple.

No matter how good a shot ole Phil is, he could never blow Bab's brains out. Its just like hunting elephants in Iowa: There just ain't any around to shoot at.
