When it comes to taxes, most of us believe that they should be as low as possible and as fair as we can make them. Unfortunately, the current tax on investment dividends fails both tests, and I'm glad President Bush has proposed eliminating that tax at the individual level. This is particularly important to 10 million senior citizens in America who pay almost half of all dividend taxes.

so, I believe you would be better off if your mother had been on the pill.

when do you plan to shoot your parents to save us this money?

and then, please shoot yourself before you retire, so my grand children won't be burdened by you.

You replied so eloquently that I won't say another word. Well done.

Well, boohoo for you. Do you think that you're the only one paying student loans? Quit blaming this on seniors, and no, I'm not a senior citizen. I see a lot of waste going to SSI and everyone's FICA going to a lot of people that have never put a DIME into SS. Do something about that! Did you know that you can come here from another country, NOT even be a citizen, and if you're 65 you can draw SS? Quit blaming this on the senior citizens.

ah - go back to one of your libertarian hate sites.

your are poisoning the atmosphere here with your hate.

So you are actually pissing and moaning about having to pay back loans - you are worthless.

And you want the money from the 40+ years I have spent paying on that great ponzi demonRAT scheme.

Go soak your head in a bucket ..... for about 20 minutes.

Really? Because there's waste in SSI, because there are people that sucker SSI too, I should not blame the preponderance of the voters (senior citizens) that caused the problem? If you think this about student loans, then you've focused on the wrong point. It's about the people that caused the problems with our government's fiduciary system. I hit them right between the wizened old eyes.

Really? Because there's waste in SSI, because SSI is a Ponzi scheme, you wante YOUR money back, I should not blame the preponderance of the voters (senior citizens like you) that caused the problem?

Again, if you think this about student loans, then you've focused on the wrong point. It's about the people that caused the problems with our government's fiduciary system.

I don't hate all seniors. Just the ones who let this happen, that is, they screwed over millions of workers with this Ponzi scheme, and now have the gall to bitch about it when it happens to bite them in the ass. If you steal from people, when they steal from you, shuddup. No honor among thieves.

Ah, isn't that sweet. Trotting out the 'he's Libertarian so he must be wrong' ad hominem. I almost want to pay you on the head and tell you how cute you are, if you weren't so bullheaded you're buying into the wrong side.

See, what you're missing is that you think we should pay back these people. Social Security isn't an account. It's a tax. Government stole that money. It's gone. Old farts are screwed LESS than others because they might actually see some of the dough. So they should stop trying to screw others that won't see any of it by racking up the debt even higher.

Like that will happen. People like you will go on thinking they're 'owed' the money, even though they're the ones that kept this system in place when it could have been fixed years ago.
