PHOTO: Working to shed some political baggage, the White House hopeful is getting up close and personal with many of Iowa's Democrats.
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- It is 12 degrees on a Saturday afternoon, and John F. Kerry is standing in Sarah Swisher's crowded living room amid a collection of folk art and roughly 100 sweater-clad Johnson County Democrats.
The Massachusetts senator is dressed in a blue chambray shirt, brown corduroys and a chunky black running watch, an outfit that gives an appearance of studied nonchalance.
But with his back to the wide bay window, holding forth on subjects from AIDS to global warming, it often seems as though the solemn Kerry is on the floor of the U.S. Senate rather than auditioning before a group of party activists chewing oatmeal cookies. There is plenty of Bush bashing, an obligatory paean to the heartland and then references such as the one to "e-suh" -- an acronym for the Elementary and Secondary Education Act -- that harken to the Beltway and land here with a decided clunk.

"I wish psyche types would weigh in and diagnose this as an indication of a schizoid personality disorder."
Liberals are the ultimate 'Utilitarians' - any means will justify their desired ends. Needless to say, many criminals are Utilitarians - we know them as Sociopaths. . .
Hope the Dimcrats remember how much Kerry said he like being in their home state.

I am afraid that you are wrong. I bet that the media will treat sharpton as a non-person. They know that what is considered the base for the RATS is closer to sharpton than to the rest of the pack: therefore, he must be shut out. They(the media) do not want America to know how far to the left the dimocRAT winner must move. Whoever, that winner is must be sold to the public as a moderate and that can't happen if sharpton is allowed any coverage.

The Boston Globe story over the weekend about John Kerry finding out he was Jewish was interesting. His grandfather's name was Kohn. The grandfather changed his name after he immigrated to Boston. He opened a business and ended up shooting himself in a rest room in a hotel.
I do not believe that John Kerry is just discovering his roots. I believe he fully knew them but made the choice years ago to allow the Irish myth to move him along in politics. This is just another Democrat pre election notification...............................I think
was an abuse and a known fabrication by his inner circle.
Why were they afraid to let it out before this? It should not have made any difference to Boston, Worcester, Springfield voters. Massachusetts is diverse and open?
Isn't it?

"From their core values to their legislation, it's all about "How can we fool 'em today"
Watch GWB by comparison. In the SOTU address, you could really see sincerity, honesty and compassion. The RATS can't be honest about who they are, they would lose. Is America starting to wake up?

It's amazing to see the changing political currents. Conservatives enduring pejoritives over the past 30 plus years have finally seen the great battleship of state turning towards reality. It is like a battleship you know. Give it a right rudder and it takes a long time before the ship actually moves right.
Many thanks to the old Goldwater/Reagan conservatives who put their hands to the rudder armed with facts not mirrows for so many years.

Moving the ship of state rightward is like maneuvering the course of a battleship with a canoe paddle.

Talk about Dumbocrats reinventing themselves. Kerry's reinvention by the BG really takes the cake. Remember that Clinton morphed himself into the first Black president. It's all about who can harness the most campaign contributions and voting blocs.

The tough thing that Kerry can't shake is throwing those medals to the ground.
That doesn't fly with most patriotic Americans. This will stick on his heel like poodle sh_t!
And HILLARY will have her nose right in it!

He should try chewing tobacco. That would certainly change his image, and his face fits that image.
