DUMBOCRAT MORPH ALERT: Kerry Trying to Adjust His Image, Style to Reach Mainstream Voters
LATIMES ^ | 2/3/03 | Mark Z. Barabak

PHOTO: Working to shed some political baggage, the White House hopeful is getting up close and personal with many of Iowa's Democrats.

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- It is 12 degrees on a Saturday afternoon, and John F. Kerry is standing in Sarah Swisher's crowded living room amid a collection of folk art and roughly 100 sweater-clad Johnson County Democrats.

The Massachusetts senator is dressed in a blue chambray shirt, brown corduroys and a chunky black running watch, an outfit that gives an appearance of studied nonchalance.

But with his back to the wide bay window, holding forth on subjects from AIDS to global warming, it often seems as though the solemn Kerry is on the floor of the U.S. Senate rather than auditioning before a group of party activists chewing oatmeal cookies. There is plenty of Bush bashing, an obligatory paean to the heartland and then references such as the one to "e-suh" -- an acronym for the Elementary and Secondary Education Act -- that harken to the Beltway and land here with a decided clunk.

It's amazing how these Dummycrats continually reinvent themselves, tailoring their positions, and their persons, for whatever the venue demands. I wish psyche types would weigh in and diagnose this as an indication of a schizoid personality disorder.

Didn't this guy say, only two weeks ago, that he wouldn't be caught dead in hick towns in the midwest?

The part that gets me is not as much that he wants his name reported as John F. Kerry, but that there are actually a lot of people who will vote for him because of it.

He's running on the strength of his initials, his hailing
from Massachsetts like you-know-who, and his serious hair.

That's the trouble with dems. They can never 'just be themselves'. From their core values to their legislation, it's all about "How can we fool 'em today". This guy is nothing more than Al Gore lite. Gag me.

Depilatory in his shampoo, right before the debates, and he is toast. Edwards, too. All they are is HAIR.

Kerry is like a young, Thurston Howell the 3rd. Born rich, married richer.

If you watch him, he doesn't listen to people who talk to him... he poses for the camera.

The guy is a vain, arrogant skunk.

The dims want him! They want HILLARY too.

Yes - it is quite a spectacle. Even more retarded on their part, is their propensity to talk openly to the press about how they're going to tailor their image to fool the public that they are this or that kind of persona or icon...as if the public wasn't listening to THAT also. Morons.

Kerry is a fashion model, not a presidential candidate. He was handsome in his youth (and even 10 years ago) and cut a wide swath. Now he looks like a corpse and is still playing the same game, the only game he knows. Though now he has his screwball wife's fortune to tap into.

In Massachusetts he was hung with the moniker "Live shot Kerry" meaning he never missed a chance to preen in front of the TV cameras. In short, he's a vain prick

Because they can't resist talking about me me me. And their mesmerized support staff of youngsters cannot resist talking about him him him.

Hey, great idea. I would also put some of that super-PU in his shave cream. Let's see if this Hairless Wonder Stinking to High Heaven can even win a dogcather's seat.

I don't there is a person in the son that loves himself more than John F. Kerry, and I'm including all the RATS.

Nah, Liz. What's amazing is that it can be sold to so many so easily.

What is also amazing is that any "Vote Shortfall" can be easily made up with voter fraud in so many jurisdictions. Which means the Dumbocraps can depend upon spineless and even dumber Republicans.

I think Al Sharpton is going to be a lot more fun to watch than the last Al. He will be getting a lot of attention which will irk the "pretty boys."
