I agree with John. I don't think that is the wing of any space shuttle. If you look at the photos of the shuttle, the wing is much whiter and on the leading edge of the wing, it is a dark grey and black closer to the nose.

I only know this because I have had to study the way the shuttle is put together for our new hot air balloon.

You're right. There's no way the shuttle can have anything protruding from it's wing like is shown in the photograph. Those cracks don't look real anyway.

Additionally - in order for that photo to have been the LEFT wing - the photo would have been of the REAR edge of the wing - the front edge is ROUNDED not STRAIGHT EDGED.

The only place that photo could have been taken from would be in the vicinity of the engines at the TAIL.

There is no way this photo could have been of Colombia's left wing after the orbit of STS-107.

Phoney, and not even a nice try.

I don't see how they could get that angle from the cabin. Doesn't make sense.
