Kathy Lee is not one of our particularly admired people but Mrs.LDD would be glad to help Kathy out. She is quite a hand when it comes to shooting coyotes. I neet to put up a new clothesline for laundry as the existing one is full of tails.

Hmmmm....remember when "varmint rifles" were sort of everyday tools in the family room? Like, say, a 30-30 carbine?
Talk about overkill, unless you've got really big varmints! (wouldn't that make them predators instead of varmints?)
Don't know how big ya'lls varmints are, but a .22, with bird shot if you just want to scare 'em off, works pretty good too on most "regular sized" varmints.

I'm surprised she didn't somehow work in a statement about Frank's affair. I am always amazed how she is so willing to keep dragging up that situation in public. It's almost seven years after the fact and she still gives interviews about it. It seems if you have forgiven someone as much as she says she has forgiven Frank that you would have the common courtesy to just shut up about it. If I have to hear again about how a weekend of good sex and Bible reading healed their marriage I think I'll gag. Probably old Chard did "suicide by coyote" just to escape the shame of living with her. Can Frank be next? Frank is so obviously PW I'm sure the coyote will think he's a cat.

You've been to my shop by Six Flags, which is just inside the Atlanta city limits. We have a large portion of river buffer land behind our shop which is slap ate up with coyotes.

It wouldn't surprise me to hear of some sightings inside the perimeter before long.

Still outside the Perimeter, but a bunch of kids from my son's school live in Neely Farms subdivision, which is a heavily suburban part of NW Gwinnett. Off of Spalding Drive, real near Holcomb Bridge.

They regularly have coyote sightings, and several pets lost. Of course, they're also next to, or at least very close to, some Chattahoochie National Forest parkland.

I'm sure there are coyotes inside the Perimeter. In fact, I'll ping a friend who lives real near Nancy Creek, in the Windsor Parkway / Peachtree-Dunwoody area. I bet there have been sightings there, and that's well ITP.

Yes, there are grey foxes. They look nothing like coyotes. They are longer-legged than red foxes and I believe look skinnier even when in good flesh.

If every time you see a coyote, you shoot it dead, the other coyotes in the area WILL learn not to enter your "zone".

I agree and disagree. Coyotes are very smart. They learn quickly that humans can kill them at a distance, and become very sneaky and clever about raiding or crossing a particular piece of property when the humans aren't around. But if it's clear that no humans are around, they'll still venture onto your land. Believe me, we shot lots of coyotes when I was a young girl and they simply became more careful and devious, coming onto the property to raid only after twilight.

In the West humans learn that one way around this is to kill the coyotes and nail the corpses to fence posts at regular intervals, as a reminder to the brethren of the dead coyotes. This is probably not a solution that would be met with enthusiasm in most suburbs, unfortunately.
