That sentence doesn't make sense.
Your opinions are NOT facts, Todd.

One word: ridiculous(plus a few more): Dr. Evil tag teamed w/Saddam Hussein Frikkin Laser Beam
"Ok Sod-omm, lets light up the frikkin' space shuttle with my shark mounted laser."
Both...equally ridiculous

Oh yeah, sprites and jets are cool! But the odds of one deciding to hit the Shuttle seem pretty small to me.
The odds of some guy hoaxing the SF Chronicle seem much higher.

Tell me, Todd, exactly where in California are they looking for debris?
BTW, your link, like your logic, doesn't work.

I've got mine on now!Every pilot knows about Static Electricity and aircraft but I'm thinking about the possibility mind you, only theorizing about a StarWars Type of Pulse Weapon capable of reaching to that altitude!!!..?

Well, what are the odds of this happening anywhere anyway?
Does anyone know? If not how can you say the odds are low for the Shuttle being shattered. Seems to me that in 128 trips it may have happened once - yesterday in fact!.
I've been in several commercial jetliners hit by lightning. What's the odds of that happening?

My guess is he is keeping them private until the proper agencies can see them. I would certainly think these would be turned over to NASA. They may have asked him not to show them.

It was in trouble over California. But now that you mention it I bet there are tiles there. You see it was in trouble from the time of re-entry it was doomed. It was on fire from the start and exploded over Texas. And that left wing damage at take off did not help either.
Anyways post 43 is perfect, from me to you! :>)

And this is from me to you. Fits you perfectly, IMO.

Thanks I'll look for it. There has to be someone in CA that was recording it with their telescope (and getting 1 meter resolution). I'm in Oregon and it was too cloudy but I watch the Shuttle and ISS all the time. I bet there is someone out there with telescopic images of the break up.

A lightning bolt...at 200,000 feet. Yuppp! Tha's gotta be what it was!Well as long as we're having contrails at 200,000+ feet, we might as well have lightning bolts too.

I speculate he hadn't quite figured out what to do on his cheap graphics program to make it look real.
