Sometimes, OReilly, there REALLY IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE. Even if that's true (and I don't know how we can determine that as long as we don't know what the load was,) it doesn't mean that there was nothing that could have been done before the launch, like put a smaller load on the shuttle.
