I am on the space coast in Florida...local TV hosts are at a loss for words... but not tears or breaking voices. They have to cut away often.

This will be a very important event in our community and economy. Space center is open at no charge and many are gathering out of respect.

Melbourne FL is one of our favorite places and we finally toured the space center last year. It's going to hit that area especially hard.

Our family spent a day at NASA last October, with my father and stepmother (they live in Orlando). What an amazing place!
