I am not talking about the speech, jde. I am talking about a person on the telephone that was speaking to Darin Kagen awhile AFTER the speech.

"being that there were two Jews on board from Israel......"

Only one, but still your point is well taken.

Perhaps it's just their pure hatred for the President. You had to see it to understand what her attitude was.

You are correct .. but what CNN Shills fail to understand is that this is NOT about the President

This is about the lives that were lost on the Shuttle

And the way they behaved shows just how petty they are

I'm inclined to think that Iraq is tempting fate. They need to learn something of God's justice!

The media has been clintonized. President Bush is evil,

The seeds were planted before clinton, but he certainly has cultivated the sentiment. Reagan was not warmly received by the media when he offered his remarks, as the media truly hated him as much as they hate Bush, but the country heard Reagan's words and loved him. The same will be true with President Bush and his speech today.

I have confidence that twenty years hence the media reports about President Bush will modify over time and the true nature of his presidency will be spoken of with much more respect.

"he is not Bubba so they don't care."

You'd think with Fox blowing them out of the water in the ratings in spite of reaching a smaller audience they would be starting to get it by now wouldn't you? No; instead they think that they just aren't shouting their leftist message loud enough. Shout on. You're losing your audience at a rapid rate. Soon, with any luck, your voice will just be a distant echo.

Mo1, I see this all the time but am always astonished by it: These nitwits are absolutely OBSESSED with bashing President Bush -- on any topic and in any venue they can. Their psychology is STILL so twisted by Al Gore's loss it is breathtaking. And yet I have talked privately to a few of these Bash-Bush-At-Any-Cost'ers, and they admit they are glad Gore wasn't President on 9/11. The illogic of these people never fails to amaze me.

"they were showing an interview with shuttle pilot Rick Husband, who was talking about his Christian faith, and his interaction and sharing of the faiths between him, and Ramon(sp?) the Israeli astronaut"

It must be driving them nuts that most people DO believe in God and so many have faith that directs all aspects of their lives. I'm sure it is quite confounding to them.

What beautiful sentiments. I take back my earlier post. Totally perfect selection of scripture. Well done, Mr. President, well done.

It was a beautiful speech, and from the heart.

"I believe Wait said that someone reacting favorably to the speech was cut off."

Oh horrors! Well, I guess it was justifiable then on the off chance that Americans in shock might actually hear something positive about their president. God help those who only have CNN! Somebody has to!

All seven astronauts aboard the space shuttle Columbia were killed after it broke up just 16 minutes from its scheduled landing at Kennedy Space Center in Florida on February 1, 2003, the U.S. space agency NASA said. "The loss of this valiant crew is something we will never be able to get over," NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe said at a news briefing. Thanks. I saw it. President Bush delivered a sincere, heartfelt address.

I was also glad to hear him give assurance for the future of NASA...
