Thanks. Still in shock here. A few years ago we were lucky enough to watch the shuttle fly over at night. It was such an amazing marvel, and this morning before this happened I was in envy of the West Coasters who had an opportunity to view it as it flew over. Chopper traffic here has diminished -- I think it's unlikely any debris will be found in this area. Possibly they were on heightened alert for the President's ranch or they are attempting to protect a big chunk of Texas air space while they search.

What a tragedy for our country and the families of the crew. My flag is flying and prayers for all involved. We certainly have our hands full in this country and prayer helps us all.

Thanks for the ping, Howlin.

Praying for the families of the astronauts and also for the families of the Challenger astronauts. This has got to be bringing all those devastating memories back.

It's eerie that this occurred so close to the anniversary dates of the other two NASA tragedies, the Apollo fire on 1/27/67, and Challenger on 1/28/86.

Thanks for the ping, Howlin. I heard the terrible news this morning before heading out to teach my catechism class. We did pray for the astronauts, their families and our country during opening prayers before proceeding with class.

I want to read more of what all are saying. It's really something to read our Texas freepers' eyewitness reports.
