I just heard the most ridiculous thing on CNN. Gary Tuchman was interviewing this family who was visiting Cape Canaveral or Cape Kennedy. They were locals who just went there to pay their respects. When they got to the father, he said he was a history teacher at a local school and said he hoped that the U.S. would offer Iraq to take an Iraqi up in space one day as a gesture of goodwill. Man. Can you see that happening in the Saddam era? Ridiculous.
