Are you in Farmer's Branch? Any word on debris in the area?

I asked my family about something I read on the other thread, and they blew me off. What do you all think: Why is the President returning from Camp David to the WH via car rather than Marine 1?
To: Howlin
Today is Chinese New Year's. Ming was so sad to hear this news. So sad....
I printed off the picture of the people on the shuttle and showed to her and her son Yujing...

I don't even know what to say anymore. I'm trying to read the threads and find out what people think might have happened.

I'd assume it's so he can discuss the issue with his team. He'd have more time traveling via car than air to do this.

Thanks. Still in shock here. A few years ago we were lucky enough to watch the shuttle fly over at night. It was such an amazing marvel, and this morning before this happened I was in envy of the West Coasters who had an opportunity to view it as it flew over. Chopper traffic here has diminished -- I think it's unlikely any debris will be found in this area. Possibly they were on heightened alert for the President's ranch or they are attempting to protect a big chunk of Texas air space while they search.

Very sad day, too.
Isn't it nice we have FR to gather together?

Heard that, too -- said there was a "heat spike" at about the same time of the breakup.
