My dear, all of the above mentioned, by you, know the risks.

Michael Jackson's kids!!!LOL

i don't see what any of that has to do with "the price of tea in China". People do what they do to keep food on the table, and a warm place to sleep (if they're lucky, not alone).

None of this diminishes my point in the least, so why don't you tell me what your real gripe is?

Thank you, Texokie, for sending me a copy of your prayer. I agree with you in prayer, and I put my prayers with yours. All glory to God the Father, and to our Savior Jesus.

Here's an interesting link to the shuttle's mission payloads.

One of interest to the Israeli experiment.

Conspiracy theorists on various forums are already noting that Ramon was in the Air Force squadron which bombed the Iraqi nuclear reactor in 1982. Veracity of such allegations unknown, but interesting if true.

The conspiracy theorist continues that from a NASA Control Center, an Israeli TV Channel Two reporter heard, "Rick, you're going to be surprised. We're starting the D-Orbit burn now." as one of the last messages from the shuttle.

IMHO, sufficient risk exists in the re-entry by natural causes to justify the catastrophic failure without resorting to conspiracy theory.

"Columbia disintegrates over Palestine"

Then again, perhaps a Bible Code is used to actually foretell today's events, rather than an omen of other events. Maybe intentionally visceral so that those who reject Him or seek false prophecy are allowed to follow that which they seek.

I apologize if someone has already brought this to your attention. NASA is calling for all recordings (or any type) of yesterday's events. Seems to me that the original FR thread with timestamping of what people where hearing and seeing may qualify. Something to thing about.

Original estimates were that we'd lose a shuttle and crew every 75 flights. It turns out that the loss rate is curretnly more like one shuttle lost in every 53 flights. So what? People die every die for far less worthwhile causes.

Ask for volunteers (we'll get them) and continue shuttle launches on schedule. The astronauts have always know the risk and accepted it. Continue with the shuttle for now but start building a new fleet of diverse heavy boosters and manned craft that are more useful and economical than the shuttle.

Conservababe took a lot of heat yesterday for being a little cold. But she has the right attitude. Bury our dead with honors and continue their dream. Even if some crews do die. It's part of the business. Explorer just isn't a safe career and that's not why anyone chooses it.

I have never seen a general cry at a press conference.

I have. And I've seen Wing Commanders and Squadron Commanders cry as well. I've also served under commanders who showed no emotion at all - and they scared the hell out of me.

"No missile can shoot that high, and the security around Columbia was air-tight—Saddam would have had more luck planting a bomb on Air Force One. If this was terrorism, we're all in big trouble, because either the hand of Allah reached down and swatted the craft out of the sky, or Saddam really does have a captured UFO...."

Straw man. There is the remote possibility that an Islamic is in NASA, don't you think? Someone like Malvo perhaps? Gee, you never know.

"IMHO, sufficient risk exists in the re-entry by natural causes to justify the catastrophic failure without resorting to conspiracy theory."

Obviously. That is the most likely possibility. But you never know what kind of sabotage could have occurred. I think Islamic profiling in all NASA members who had a chance for sabotage should be considered. It would be foolish not to consider. Don't you think?

IMHO, Islamic and Freemasonry profiling to insure neither group has access to said projects or programs.

The change between any two states is always the most turbulent. Initial liftoff and re-entry through the atmosphere have probably the greatest number of physical stressors, in quantity and quality, known and unknown, which are the most diffucult to account in design.

For example, imagine a Perfect Storm arising in the Gulf Stream or higher altitudes or in transition between altitudes. Such an event might easily overwhelm the flight systems by several magnitudes. 200,000AGL and Mach 7-15 is in itself an environment which research has far from been exhausted.

But there also remains significant political value in targeting NASA programs as terrorist targets or as a method to send a stealthy signal to those in power. It's for this reason that IMHO, inquiry is justified into these possibilities.

For example, if a foreign enemy of the US had a technological ability to defeat launch or recovery systems or to interere with US control of space, then the display of such ability might be used to alter our perception of our center of gravity and redirect our foreign policies.

If a foreign enemy has the intellectual power to research and build nuclear weaponry, I'd dare say far many more strategic and tactical devices other than NBC are also in their domain of interest and a revolution in military affairs might not be as assymetrical as one might like to believe.

IMHO, this is the worst threat from allowing known foreign enemies such as Iraq's Hussein to remain unfettered in their pursuits. Time is not on our side in the war on terror.

Thanks for your reply.

I just received an interesting msg from Israel which I'll try and put up after church.

One thing it asserts is that another Israeli died on the Challenger--a relative of the author.

And, it makes a bit of people hearing an explosion distinct from sonic booms. Is that true?

It also reports that we were not told accurately nor honestly the last transmission to Columbia. That an Israeli TV channel crew broadcasting live was in a position to hear the actual last transmission and that it is very curious indeed.
