I fail to understand why we want to see animals on a thread about lost heroes. I would prefer that the links be allowed on any OTHER thread than this one.

I understand the rationale for allowing DU postings here, but I for one do not care to muddy my mind with them. This tragedy is too important and heart-rending to even give them one second of consideration.

I cannot imagine the grief level of the families and all those who knew the astronauts personally.

God give them comfort as we all share in that grief. And may God give our President the strength and ability to comfort a grieving nation.

I disagree with this decision. Let us mourn their deaths without politicizing this tragedy. That is something for DU scumbag types to do. We should be above that. I wish you didn't include their hatred on this thread.

Some DU'ers are lower than animals. I looked at a few of their comments this morning and it reminds me that not all Americans are pro-America.

Before long, they will be using this as an excuse to not finish our business with Iraq. What argument will they use to link the shuttle disaster to NOT acting on Iraq?
