I don't doubt for a minute that Arafat is saying this kind of stuff. But I wonder who the confidential source is... I don't mean that I want a personal name. We all know Israel has sympathizers with the Pals. But it has to take 100,000 times more courage to be a Palestinian that sympathizes with Israel. I know what the Palestinians do to people who are suspected of being spies or sympathizers. They end up dragged through the streets, then hung up by a rope as an example. Who are the people who risk that kind of consequence? And I wonder what sort of stories they could really tell about life under the PA/PLO. And I wonder how many Israeli-sympathizing Palestinians there really are.
