John Podesta, his former Chief of Staff, explained..."I don't think he feels he's the center of attention or needs to be, or should be. You know, he looks to others to play that role..." BWAHAHAHA! Stop it, Podesta, you're killing me!

He forgot to add "kind of like a latter-day W.C. Fields."

On the domestic front, Clinton warns Democrats not to go too far with this "corporate accountability" stuff, lest they injure those "entrepreneurial giants" of Silicon Valley who made the 1990s glow with New Economy promise. Of course, we never hear of this from the Clintonistas in the mainstream media, who pin the blame on corporate malfeasance on Bush every chance they get.

Many Democrats still hunger for Clinton's magic touch. The kind of touch that can only be had with the tip of a fine, Cuban cigar

Yep, Bill was a winner alright and America was the loser! The only good Clinton is a non-breathing Clinton. But, Democrats, just keep letting Bill, Hill and Terry run things. It worked well for us in 2002 and we're looking forward to the same in 2004. Bill is the kiss of death to people running for office. Keep up the good work, Billyboy!

One politician in Hillary's orbit recently wisecracked: "'04 is the year of clearing out the white guys." I'm sure that will make Trent Lott-style headlines.

If the Democratic Party in exile is ever to find a new voice and sense of purpose, it will first have to get around a peculiar obstacle left behind by the Clinton era: The man did not really go awayThis is the only really honest statement in the whole piece. All that the author follows it up with is pretty much shallow liberal digressions. Tepid statements, timidly tip-toeing up to the fact of the Hillary's run in 2004. They are undoubtedly trying to orchestrate some spectacular collapse in the popularity of GWB, and their efforts in 2002 were marked.

The clintons are like systemic poisons which are impossible to flush out while the victim lives. The democrat party is doomed! Even the worm eating the carcass will die.

The ultimate objective, in this scenario, is to prepare the ground for Senator
Hillary Clinton's eventual run for the presidency (when Mr. Bill might return
to the White House as First Spouse). The 'ultimate' objective.
Just what we need, Bill Clinton back in the White House with even more time on his hands.

Did you see this?
"A central figure in financing the Clinton-friendly political ventures will be former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin, now a top executive at Citigroup and the former bond trader who invented Clintonomics (which the Wall Street Journal calls Rubinomics). Rubin acts as a kind of gatekeeper, advising friends and colleagues from the financial sector on where to direct their political money, and which politicians and issues sound like apostasy. Both Clintons stay close to him."

I did not know that Tony Blair sat down with edwards last month to discuss foreign affairs. I wonder if all of our junior senators get to have private meetings with heads of other countries. (Of course, with the exception of the queen of the senate.) Just when I was getting a little respect for Tony.
