"Hi Im Saddam Hussein. I kept my job through the New York Times."

When Harry Browne and the NYT are singing in harmony against President Bush, you know he's on the right track.

This is a great article. The NY Times is the worst paper in America.

"Someone needs to tell George Bush that his constituency is the world."
The New York Times has been a proponent of one-world government for a some time now. Hence by logical extension, they view the President's constituency as the world. Tragically this whole idealized view of the world is the antithesis of what America stands for; or at least used to stand for.

Someone needs to tell George Bush that his constituency is the world. So ignorant.

War was declared on not just NEW YORK but all of America
the day the New York Times helped the Hitlary Clinton take
over our NY Senate Seat.
The New York time does their share of harm to this country
and their state. I don't know why New York won't boycot the
NY times, refuse to buy their papers.
New Yorkers spoke thru elections but our voices are not
heard. All signs in Westchester called for Hitlary to leave
NY, go back to Arkansas.
Rick Lazio EXPOSED HITLARY FOR HER TERRORIST TIES. LAZIO
AND HIS FAMILY GOT DEATH THREATS. WHERE WAS THE NY TIMES
TO HELP PUT HITLARY BEHIND BARS? AS LONG AS HITLARY CLINTON
HOLDS A SEAT IN THE SENATE OUR COUNTRY WILL REMAIN IN DAMGER. THE TERRORISTS NOW HAVE ONE OF THEIR OWN SITTING IN
A VERY POWERFUL GOVERNMENT SEAT.
WHEN 9/11 HAPPENED WHY WAS GORE,CLINTON, GREENSPAN OUT OF
THE COUNTRY AND WHY WAS CHEALSEA RUSHED OUT OF THE COUNTRY?

Someone should tell the New York times that there is a story to be told. THE UN'S REVENGE ON AMERICA.
THE UN IS PLAYING GAMES AND WILLING NOT ONLY TO GET OUR TROOPS KILLED BUT IS ALSO WILLING TO GET MILLIONS OF AMERICANS KILLED AS WELL. THE UN IS WILLING TO SACRIFIES
ALL AMERICANS AND OUR MILITARY IF BUSH DOESN'T GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT.
THE UN WANTS,
CONTROL OF OUR MILITARY IN EXCHANGE FOR THE REPORTS ON
THE TRUE REPORTS ON IRAQ. THE UN HAS DONE THE SAME THINGS
THAT SODDOM HAS DONE, THEY USED THE PALESTINIAN THUGS TO
GO INTO SMALL COUNTRIES AND KILL,TORTURE AND RAPE INNOCENT
CIVILIANS.

Mr. Bush has never been open with the American people about the possible cost of this war. The Times will never be accused of over estimating the intellect of the American people. After all none of us in fly over country could possibly know what is involved in a war.

An excellent, excellent piece.

The following European leaders signed a open letter to the UN Security Council. José María Aznar, Spain José Manuel Durão Barroso, Portugal Silvio Berlusconi, Italy Tony Blair, United Kingdom Václav Havel, Czech Republic Peter Medgyessy, Hungary Leszek Miller, Poland Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Denmark
The letter said in part:
"The real bond between the United States and Europe is the values we share: democracy, individual freedom, human rights and the Rule of Law. These values crossed the Atlantic with those who sailed from Europe to help create the USA. Today they are under greater threat than ever."
Here's a LINK to the full contents of that letter.

Let's begin with this 'exit strategy' bullship........slick willie promised all troops to be out of Bosnia by Christmas. True he never said which Christmas....and the troops are still there, years and years later. Anyone see the NYSlimes editorializing about this phony promise.
Good thing we aren't back in the days of World War 2........we'd still be nattering about exit strategies and costs......

(SUPPORT PRESIDENT BUSH)
To: All
That our alleged allies have rescinded their support is reason not to question our aims, but theirs. The nations that seek to sandbag America do so variously out of cowardice, a genuine desire to harm the U.S., and a determination that their interests are fundamentally at odds with ours. There are many things that one may call such nations cowards, enemies, rivals but "allies" is not one of them. The Times' response has been to take our opponents' side. Similarly, the people who run the New York Times seek to sandbag America variously out of cowardice, a genuine desire to harm the U.S., and a determination that their interests are fundamentally at odds with ours. There are many things that one may call such people, but "patriots" is not one of them.

I just don't understand why the market hasn't dealt with the NYT already. Their slant was liberal before Howell Raines. The most marketable "slant" is the conservative one, as evidenced by the trememdous growth of right wing talk radio, right wing web sites, Fox News, etc.
In DC I'm detecting that the Post is, albeit begrudgingly, inching toward the right, probably due to competition from the growing Washington Times. Why is the New York Times apparently able to escape the effects of the same market forces?

9.11.01 was not enough for the nyt. They want total destruction of NYC.

The odd thing about Bill Keller's column, is that it makes a solid case for war, through suggesting what the Presidents' advisers are likely telling him, before Keller twists his logic into a doughnut to end up supporting the house policy of Times owner Arthur Sulzberger Jr. and managing editor Howell Raines. That sounds like the best strategy, if your aim is to get pro-war arguments published in an organ that only publishes anti-war pieces.

When are the liberals in NY going to have enough of this rag and stop buying it?

The only way to defeat these leftist newspapers is to stop buying them. I wouldn't even use the L.A. Times for bird cage liner.
