Well, you'll be very pleased to hear that she went though with it. Her boyfriend's ghoulish parents paid to have the baby killed, and the little one was butchered yesterday at 1:00 pm CST.

After Amanda left and things calmed down a bit, my mom turned to me and told me that Amanda has too much of me in her. She's too much like her uncle Skooz. That's true.

I'd probably feel bad about it in the morning, but I'd have her stuff on the front step. If she values this boy and his parents opinon over her own parents, she can go be with them then. Tough love I guess, but she is 18, no long legally their responsibility. But then again, like I said, I'd probably feel bad about it after the shock and anger wore off. Two wrongs really don't make a right.

No I'm saying that a parent can't say "never again" to a 16 year old. In 2 years he will be 18. I'm also saying that the parents are monsters in the first place for saying that. I made a post earlier where I expressed my feelings about marriage for them too.

Skooz, I'm so sorry for your family, for Amanda, and for her dear baby. Unfortunately, her decision reflects the culture in which she lives, her family's efforts notwithstanding. I'm sorry she didn't have the strength to resist the pressure of her boyfriend's parents; it's a hard thing for such a young woman to withstand. I fear she has more pain ahead. It strengthens my resolve to address this with our own sons as they come into adolescence and adulthood. We wouldn't want them to create life until they are ready to nurture a family. This is a tragic outcome.

I am so sorry, sounds like you did everything you could. I agree with AppyPappy. Some counseling would probably help. Too bad she wouldn't go before the abortion.
I just don't understand the reasoning behind Amanda's saying she would rather have an abortion than give the baby up for adoption. So many good families are waiting and waiting for years to have what she just threw away.
I also hope the boyfirned doesn't dump her now, although with his parents being like that it would probably be a blessing in the long run. We'll keep you all in our prayers. Time will heal - somewhat.
