No. Aspirin factory was Aug. '98 (day of Monica's testimony before the grand jury, and a day or two after Clinton admitted on national TV that he had lied.) Operation Desert Fox bombing of Iraq was Dec. '98 (during House debate and vote on impeachment.)

Hard to believe that Clinton could have said after this that the bombing had cleansed Iraq of all WMD's, as I understand Iraqi ambassador to the UN said on Tuesday.

Did he have a resolution from the UN or a sense of the Congress vote?

Who were his allies, or did he go in "unilaterlly?"

Did he do it because he didn't know who his daddy was?

That is exactly what the Iraqi ambassador said, just last Monday at the U.N. Almost word for word what you said.

Finally, our allies, including Prime Minister Tony Blair of Great Britain, concurred that now is the time to strike.

But where did the French and Germans stand?? What about the coalition!

(He said allies but only named Blair.....hmmmmmmm)

Where's the photos of Susan Sarandon protesting? Or Babs' big-ass, red nose out of joint? Or Sean Penn serving as our Juvenile Ambassador? Or all the other Hollyweird punks who "abhor" war?

Surely they protested then, right? They're people of moral principles. They...Jesus, sorry I got carried away.

Thanks for the post. You're right. Archives are our friend.

Does anyoneone know where I can find an article in which the Dems express their outrage that the impeachment vote was going on while our troops were going into harm's way?

I remember them raising all kinds of hell too. I even remember the Bloodworth/Thomason? perverts on the talk shows saying we should all be standing behind our President. And Jay Leno said..."That would be the only safe place to stand around our President." I'll never forget that quote.

this is damning to the liberal pukes in Congress. It basically admits to the situation we are currently in and offers some measley cruise attacks.

Well, time for the real deal...great thing to save - the rnc should have this faxed to everybody.

He said allies but only named Blair.

If memory serves, France, Russia, and China were blocking Security Council action at the time (Dec. '98).
