What a great our article! Thanks for posting it. I especially enjoyed the reluctant praise given by Bush critics.

Dubya's strength lies in his convictions, and I believe his convictions were strengthened on the fateful day of 9/11/01. His focus is so brilliant that the petty Rat criticisms bounce effortless off him. He will not be denied.

And best of all...our President's courage, steadfastness, intelligence and faith stand in such stark contrast to the 'troubling' (lol) whines of tom daschle, hitlery, teddy, and various other leftists of the worst sort, that these naysayers are being exposed before our nation like never before. And I mean fully stripped down, flat our naked.
It must be getting rather embarrassing to be a democrat.

Great writing by Cal. I wonder when the dems are going to figure out they would be better off just to sit down and keep their mouths shut. This country has work to do and they're getting in the way. It's gone beyond annoying and is now in the realm of seriously dangerous.
To: McGavin999
You know, McGavin, you are exactly right. If the democrats had simply gone along with the President and nibbled at the margins of his programs, they probably would have held the Senate and picked up seats in the House. But because of their unrelenting anti-everything stance, they drove people away.
They are still doing it. I think it is something in their make-up. And they will be driving even more people away before this is over.
To: Mo1
Thanks for the ping, Mo1. I wouldn't have wanted to miss this. Even some critics are beginning to get that GW is the real deal.

Keller added, "There is something there, some preexisting quality, that avid Bush critics have missed. " Supporters of Bush didn't miss it. They knew it was there all the time. Yeah, it's called LEADERSHIP. Something algorebatross NEVER had or EVER will.

"There is something there, some preexisting quality, that avid Bush critics have missed. " Supporters of Bush didn't miss it. They knew it was there all the time.
I was early on his bandwagon so I guess I fall in the supporters side here. And this phenomena is real. This quality is something his supporters see and his detractors not only don't see but appear to be blind regarding.
That said, some of his capitulations to the liberal or soccer mom set have caused me to cringe. Maybe this is what lets him feel unconstrained to often tell the UN to pound sand, or to propose, in the face of liberals blasting his last set of tax cuts, more sweeping tax cuts AND making his last set both permanent and faster to be enacted.

Strange but true fact you would NEVER get from his articles.
They recently had a "Funniest Celebrity in Washington" contest.
Cal Thomas came in third. He can be a funny guy when he wants.

Thanks for the ping.
It's not working with this president. He knows where he wants to go and he knows how he wants to get there. That's called leadership. What more could be asked of a president?
Well said, Mr. Thomas.

Maybe they will show clips from the contest on his show Saturday on FOX News. I think it comes on at 11 pm est.
He will have Ari Fleischer as his guest this weekend. Should be a good show.
To: kattracks
As one of the favored few, I was impressed by how comfortable he is with being in charge. George W. Bush has a hide stronger than an armadillo and a vision that what he is doing and wants to do is completely and undeniably right. This President is going to hand the Democrats their soiled undergarments on the way out the door in '04.
