Russia deports American over terror link
By ANTHONY LOUIS
MOSCOW, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Russia deported a U.S. citizen on Wednesday after accusing the woman of establishing contact with al Qaida and other Islamic extremist groups and offering to prepare for and take part in terrorist attacks on the United States.
Russia's Federal Security Service said the woman, identified as Megan McRee, 35, had lived in the Moscow area for an extended period on an expired visa and without proper registration.
The FSB security service said McRee had used the Internet to contact a number of well-known Islamic extremist organizations and proposed several "scenarios of terrorist acts, including such acts against the United States, and offered to take part in their implementation."
Russian television said McRee had contact with operatives of al Qaida and the Islamic Brotherhood using the Internet, which had been monitored by the security services.
The television network said McRee told the Russian authorities she had left the United States several years ago because of persecution by the CIA and had lived in Romania before moving to Moscow.
Russia's Aeroflot Airlines said McRee is aboard flight SU321, which is to fly from Moscow to Los Angeles.
The U.S. Embassy in Moscow did not comment on the expulsion.
I found her name connected to a posting about "www.islamicpersonals.com" I checked Network Solutions, yes, it's her.

Oh Lord, it's "Taliban Singles Online" brought to life.
Excerpt: I was simply targeted by these people because I happen to have a high IQ. At the age of 13 I became a member of Mensa (Membership #1088406 as Megan Petersen).
She goes on and on about how she's been followed and harrassed by govt. men over half her life because of her *high I.Q". Talk about a paranoid whackjob...
If she was really a threat they would have done a lot more than put her on a plane to the USA.
