Imagine Mondo is having a bit of a problem with his American decor and American fast food line.
Just out of curiosity, I looked up the Syrian Cuisine: There is a great diversity in Syria cuisine, which is reputed throughout the world. The best-known dishes are: Kibbeh, Meshwi, Hoummos, Tabbouleh, and Kounafa. {Never heard of this stuff in my corner of the world.]

Kibbeh (had it once, pretty good), Meshwi (never had it), Hoummos (also known as "Hummus" and a staple of vegetarian restaurants. Its a spread made from ground chickpeas and olive oil, into which pita bread is often dipped. VERY tasty, depending on the chef), Tabbouleh (ditto Meshwi), and Kounafa (popular with Egyptians as well. Basically an Arab version of Pizza, made with sweet cheese and often enjoyed as a dessert with tea. Highly recommended by Clemenza).
