Someone on the CNN round table at the end of Blitzer's show said that Bush needed to make a case in his state of the union speech for a regime change in paris..hahahahaha

The more the dems talk the more they align themselves with Sadamm.
CD If Card had answered yes, the next question would be what? Then "How do we know"? They're playing poker now not football. Sly or coy not aggressive. When the time comes they'll play their hand. Full house?? Royal flush??? Whatever! It'll beat Sadamm.

And ... like Rush keeps saying ... the more they remain on the same road which lost them the last election, the more evident it becomes that they will lose again - big time - in 2004. In fact, their loss could be so great, the repubs could be in power for a GENERATION (40 years).
I hate to tell ya folks, but the world doesn't have 40 years.

Rechard Perle speaks with authority and knowledge of facts. Ted (The Swimmer) speaks, and is broadcast,
only because he is a Senator and that's only because the idiots in his state will vote for any old son-of-a-bootlegger-Kennedy.
Juan Williams repeated the only memorable quote of the day when he mentioned the French/German/Canadian "Axis of Weasels". Ofcourse he was only quoting someone.

drats I missed that...but here's some of the other wisdom I managed to hear:
"No real distinction between hawks and doves in the administration", says Robert George of NYPost", that's evident as you listen to Colin Powell's message in Switzerland. and everyone on the CNN roundtable agrees, except some mumbling from Donnna Brazille. No more media handwringing and beating up on President Bush because his State Dept and the Pentagon are feuding.
Robert George says Bush needs to make a values speech Tuesday night, that we are no longer in the immediate 9-11 time frame, so he will get into the role US needs to play now. George says Bush will speak about "heavy leadership" responsibilities US has in the world today.
Brazille says Bush will focus on economics...he hasn't gotten one new job for the American people, after which Blitzer says " the country has lost 2.5 million jobs since President Bush took office, but of course, that's not his fault." ( I was surprised by that one.)
Jonah Goldberg says President Bush needs to make a serious case for a regime change in Paris. (LOL)
Goldberg says Bush is in tough place....In his speech on Tuesday night, President Bush needs to be more forceful about selling his economic package.
Blitzer asks the panel about Daschle's plan to give everybody 300.00. "A welfare check", says Mitch McConnell. Jonah explains Bush attacks structural changes that are needed, not just a quick fix, short term, give-away. Brazile defends it, says it will help spark economic growth. It's a good thing. "The dishonesty of republicans is breathtaking", says Peter Beinert, who thinks democrats have a chance to win big with this idea.
Jonah Goldberg's wife works for John Ashcroft? Who knew.
Scott Ritter: Blitzer asks each what they think of it..and of course, replays the Aaron Brown interview showing, Ritter saying it's been turned into a media feeding frenzy. Brazile says his credibility is destroyed. No credibility, no one should listen to him.
Goldberg tells about Ritter taking money from pro=Saddam guy for movie. Goldberg suggests this might be explanation of the switch Goldberg made....blackmail.
George says he agrees with everyone.....Ritter is toast. Says Ritter has joined Peter Townsent on the "magic schoolbus."
Brazile says Sharon will win Tuesday election, and I think everyone agreed.

I believe it was John Sununu, not Tony Snow.It was. he was fired by W himself.
Tony Snow admits that he was fired from the first Bush administration where he worked as a speech writer.

And if you're in my neck of the woods (NM) stay off the roads after the game -- it's open season by DUI drivers on other motorists.

Thank you I knew I had heard that somewhere. I also heard about His personally firing Sununu. Then He backed him in the Senate race against Smith.

Tony Snow admits that he was fired from the first Bush administration where he worked as a speech writer. Didn't know that, but it's true also that John Sununu was fired by W. Don't remember when but Sununu admitted it.
I also wonder why Tony Snow was fired and who fired him.

Thanks - I missed all that! I did read Gary Locke, Gov of WA, will give the response to President Bush's SofU. I thought Hillary (I hate to say her name)had given herself the honor. Gary Locke, 1st Chinese Gov., in his 2nd term (and last)in the nation. Side note --he took Chinese money and if I remember correctly - all part of the Gore thing. I would say Hillary is watching him.

I just watched the McLaughlin Group. The problem isn't Clift; it's McLaughlin! He's turned into a Bush-hating Pro-Iraqi old fool. He continuingly let Clift speak and cut off all debate against her. Then he showed these rediculous statistics trying to prove how great Germany & France are (as Anti-Bush) versus the new Eastern Europe NATO states. Totally left out the UK, Spain, Italy, Turkey. The other members of the panel (not to include Eleanor Rodham Clift, of course) tried to call him on it, but he would NOT let them speak!
I won't watch his show again until AFTER Saddam is dead and we've won in Iraq. I'll then watch, just to see McLaughlin sputter.

Does anyone remember when Tony Snow thought that little Elian should be returned to his father? He was sitting in for Rush - I could not believe his whiny meelymouthes "as a father I blah blah blah!!!!!!and THAT'S when I knew he was a closet liberal. I have not listened to him since!!!
