I will wait anxiously for ABCNNBCBS to report this March and Rally on their evening news on Monday!

Oh wait.

Yeah.

It's not a 25 person anti-Bush rally by stupid liberals. THAT they time for.

MAJOR U.S. NETWORKS IGNORED MASSIVE MARCH FOR LIFE
WASHINGTON, January 24, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Media Research Centre has issued a stinging evaluation of the major networks failure to cover the March for Life. "True to the historical pattern and despite the 30th anniversary of the Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision, ABC, CBS, and NBC studiously ignored (the Jan 22) March for Life in Washington, a stark contrast with the Bush-bashing anti-war march just four days before," says the MRC.

Compared to the in depth and extensive coverage of the anti-war rally which drew 10,000, the March for Life which drew a few hundred thousand received relatively no coverage.

In contrast to the networks featuring of sound bites from marchers in the anti-war protest over the weekend, the ABC, CBS, and NBC stories on Wednesday night did not include a syllable from any participant, on stage or in the crowd at the massive March for Life. Despite tens of thousands of pro-lifers in Washington and just tens of pro-abortion protesters (a midday Planned Parenthood rally was estimated by Reuters at 150), Dan Rather misled viewers into assuming large crowds on both sides: "Tens of thousands of demonstrators on both sides of the issue filled the streets of Washington today."

The ABC and CBS newscasts also ignored Bush's phone speech to the crowd; NBC and ABC's Nightline each ran just a 14-word sound bite of the President's supportive remarks.

What, no fair and balanced press coverage by members of the "neutral" media?!

Where were the hoardes of cameramen, the teaming throngs of reporters?

No doubt they were looking the other way, franticly hoping that their ideological opponents would simply march away into the quiet night.

...such is the sad state of journalism in America today...

Gray said she was not concerned that the liberal media basically ignored the March. "Our work must go on, this is God's work," she said.

Amen. "Well done, faithful servant."

Just curious but where did the "official" estimate come from? I support your cause but suspect the estimate in the light of the failure of "official sources" to provide estimates of the number of people involved in recent antiwar protests.

Dear Polycarp,

Sorry I missed you at the march. The Mass that used to be at DAR Constitution Hall was combined with others into a Mass at the DC Convention Center. Our group chose to eat an early lunch in the Convention Center before braving the cold. I didn't arrive at the Mall until around 12:30, and never got close to the flaming sword monument.

I was disappointed to have missed you again, this year. But I wasn't disappointed at the crowd.

It seems to get younger to me each year.

;-)

. Everyone was upbeat and positive with average age under 25.

Meanwhile, across the continent in San Francisco, the average age of those who engaged in the naked anti-war protest was 60.

This bodes well for the future of this country.

We had a wonderful turn out for our march in Atlanta--a solid wall of marchers four or five city blocks long. Of course, the local paper described it as "500 people shivering in the cold". Big lie-- there were probably 5,000 people marching on a warm, sunny day in Atlanta.

Yes, I also noticed how young the marchers were. A good sign for the future. Also, I noticed a lot of young men probably in their 20's marching in groups. They appeared to be single men taking a stand against abortion--another good sign.
