No, actually, the Judiciary proceedings and the Legislative Branch proceedings are separate yet related tracks. IMO, the RE-Impeachment/Conviction is more to regain credibility for the Legislature than anything else, although the result of a conviction will be de-pensioning and removal of Secret Service protection. With the Millions of ill-gotten gains Slick Willie has picked up over the years, it is an INSULT to all law-abiding taxpayers to have to continue to pay fer this cretin's illicit lifestyle!!

The problem as I see it, is that the Senate would be embarrassed by their failure to fullfill their duties the first time around. These guys don't like to admit their mistakes, much less embarrass themselves.

I'm wondering if there aren't things that klintoon could be rung up on since his leaving office. I'll bet he's got a Swiss bank account, from his dealings with Marc Rich, and his drug dealing buddies.

Since banking and hiding drug money, etc, would be on-going criminal activity, sick willie could be brought up on these these charges just like an ordinary citizen, no?

I've actually never met the guy, but it was a good excuse fer Renee and her mom to get up to see her relatives. Poor guy's had MS creeping up on him fer years and his wife--my MIL's sister--has been an absolute angel to him (like Nancy to the Gipper) but it has kept them practically tied to that State fer years. Hopefully, it will be a blessing to both Renee's uncle and her aunt.
