Ritter Cancels Iraq Trip To Baby-Sit
Scott Ritter, who reportedly baby-sat the children of presidential candidates Tuesday night while they were at the abortion celebration dinner - Woody Allen was on standby - has cancelled a trip to Baghdad. He was going to go to Baghdad, folks, but has cancelled the trip in the midst of controversy over what the media terms a "minor sex charge."
It sounds like he's benefiting from the Kennedy-Clinton protection plan already. Ritter had planned to fly to Iraq to offer advice to the Iraqi government on ways to avoid a conflict with the U.S., but now says only, "I'm not going."
Ritter was arrested in June of 2001 but the news of the arrest was suppressed. He was accused of trying to lure a 16-year-old girl he met on the Internet to a Burger King restaurant. The girl was actually an undercover investigator posing online as a minor as part of an investigation into Internet sex crimes. Ritter was charged with attempted endangerment of a child, which is a Class B misdemeanor that carries a maximum sentence of 90 days in jail. The charges would eventually be dropped if Ritter stayed out of trouble, but now we learn that apparently, he's done it twice.
In April 2001, Ritter tried to meet a 14-year-old girl he chatted with online and instead was met by police officers. Ritter was released without being charged. He's escaped two of these things now, even though he was arrested both times. This guy's getting more chances than Saddam Hussein, who it looks like he won't be seeing any time soon.

No . . . no, it was all a set-up by the Bush administration. They forced Ritter to become a pedophile with their evil Republican mind rays.
Just ask some brand-new FReepers, they'll be happen to explain it all to you.

Ritter Cancels Iraq TripPerhaps his lawyer suggested Ritter should take time to prepare for a lawsuit from Burger King.
I imagine hundreds of parents have decided to hold their children's birthday parties in their homes, instead of their local BKs.
I wonder if all this publicity is helping, or hurting, the fast-food chains.

His little problem may explain why he flip flopped his position on Iraq. You don't think the Clinton crowd, including those outside the US, would use that against him.

Every one knows that this is a set up being done by Rove. No doubt about it.
And the loonies at DU are taking such possibilities seriously. They can not come to grips with the facts and truth regarding Ritter. They think it is all a smear job to shut Ritter up.

Saddam had his "Bed Warmers" all set to go.....I am sure Ritter is bumming...
The Children of Iraq have more to fear from Ritter than from the US Military

I was reading over there yesterday and they were defending Ritter (with a few exceptions) and blaming it all on Bush and Rove.
Oh, and youve got FReepmail.

from the du! LOL
CNN really pushing discrediting Ritter
Scott Ritter completely nullified any help he might have been to the anti-war effort....His appearance last night on Aaron's show was a fiasco...
Now CNN just keeps playing excerpts over and over...The whole thing is repugnant...
LOL

I believe this article contains the accurate timeline, which Bonaparte seems to have gotten conflicting info from another source. I saw that long thread last night, but was too tired to respond with a source.
Anyway, the April 2001 incident was with a 14 year-old girl and Radioctive Ritter was probably warned, but not charged. In June 2001 was the sting with the 16 year-old girl and he was arrested.
Hope this helps.

Maybe that was Scott with Saddam and Satan?
