A RENEGADE weapons inspector who embraced Saddam’s vile regime has been exposed as a child sex pervert.
Scott Ritter, 41, has TWICE been caught by cops as he waited to meet schoolgirls he lured in internet chat rooms.
He wanted one of the girls, who was 16, to watch him commit a sordid sex act. The other girl was just 14.
Sicko Ritter, a married dad-of-two, has been branded a traitor in the US for spouting pro-Iraq views.
And the former US marine stunned the world last September by addressing the Iraqi parliament.
He told Saddam Hussein’s cronies that George Bush was on the verge of making a “historic mistake” by going to war.
And in the same month he was a key speaker at an anti-war demo in London attended by Lefties Ken Livingstone and Tony Benn.
Gulf War veteran Ritter led UN teams hunting for Saddam’s arsenal from 1991 to 1998. But he now naively insists the tyrant has destroyed all his chemical and biological weapons.
Ritter’s first arrest for an alleged child sex offence came when he was caught waiting for a girl of 14 at a restaurant in Albany, New York state.
He had enticed her into a meeting during a conversation in a chat room.
He managed to dodge charges because officers thought the language he had used to her was too vague to secure a prosection.
But just two months later he was caught again — this time waiting for a 16-year-old girl at a Burger King.
The girl was actually a cop who had posed as a youngster on the web to snare child sex predators.
This time Ritter, who has young twin daughters, was charged with child endangerment, a crime carrying a maximum 90-day jail sentence.
But amazingly he ESCAPED prosecution after reaching a deal with a junior official.
Assistant District Attorney Cynthia Preiser agreed no further action would be taken if he stayed out of trouble for six months and attended sex offender counselling.
But Preiser has now been fired for cutting the sensitive deal without the permission of her boss.
Furious District Attorney Paul Clyne: “I’m not happy. Given the nature of the offence, this was not an appropriate way to handle it.”
Internet child safety expert Parry Aftab also declared: “His case should never have been dismissed.
“The problem is that people have trouble seeing white, middle-class, well-educated men as potential child abusers.”
Ritter was once a fierce critic of Saddam. He quit as a weapons inspector because he said they were being too SOFT on the Iraqi regime.
He even insisted that Iraq should be “subjected to a major campaign that seeks to destroy the regime”.
But he quickly changed his views and is now America’s most outspoken critic of a possible war.
He insists any attempt to depose Iraq would be “illegal and imperial”.
And he has even accused Washington of using UN inspectors to spy on Iraq.
Ritter’s lawyer confirmed yesterday that he had been arrested in June. But Ritter himself refused to comment.

I hope not. I also hope he doesn't choose to do it in front of an audience, especially an audience of kids.
He can choose to alter his appearance live a quiet life somewhere.
Ritter's politics and morals may be questionable. But, compared to whose?
I think public shaming is a wonderful tool for dealing with sex offenders, particularly pedophiles. My issue with Clinton wasn't his sexual behavior, it was the illegal acts he undertook to conceal his behavior.
At any rate,if someone tried to do something like that with my daughter, the legal system or character assasination would be the least of his concerns.

Now, if Saddam knew about this guys little "problem," it may have had something to do with Ritter's turnaround on Iraqi affairs.

IMO, it may not have been sex for her, but it was sex for the teacher.
The norms of a society that protects little girls from grown up who want to expose themselves and mastabate in front of them?
Perhaps ritter and other grown men who go after little girls are normal in your world view, but he and they is not, thank God, in mine.
