Former ´La Raza´ President Joins Hillary’s 2008 Team

NEW YORK — Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton announced Thursday that Raul Yzaguirre, a prominent Hispanic activist and former president of the National Council of La Raza, would co-chair her presidential campaign and lead its outreach to Hispanic voters.

“Hillary Clinton has spent more than three decades advocating on behalf of those who are invisible in America,” Yzaguirre said in a statement. “Not only is she the most experienced and qualified candidate to be president, Senator Clinton has the ability to bring people together to get results and move this country forward.”

Hispanics are one of the fastest growing voter groups in the United States, especially in the South and West. National exit polls showed that 69 percent of Hispanic voters favored Democratic candidates in 2006, compared to 30 percent for Republicans. But 44 percent of Hispanics voted for President Bush, a Republican, in 2004.

“New Clinton Scandal Mirrors ‘Chinagate,’ Say Analysts”
By Fred Lucas
CNSNews.com Staff Writer
September 03, 2007

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “(CNSNews.com) - Clinton fundraising flashbacks erupted last week as critics of Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) demanded answers about some of her questionable campaign fundraising, aspects of which mirrored the “China-gate” fundraising scandal that plagued the 1996 Bill Clinton-Al Gore campaign.

Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign has returned money directly donated from a one-time fugitive, Norman Hsu, now in the custody of California authorities. But because she is keeping much of the money he raised for her, along with the history of Clinton fundraising scandals, the issue could linger, analysts say.”

“Blocking ‘The Path to 9/11’”
By Martin Miller
LA Times | 9/6/2007

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “Among the nearly two dozen television DVDs slated for nationwide release on Sept. 11 is the second season of “Bones,” the third season of “Grey’s Anatomy” and the miniseries “The Starter Wife” that aired earlier this year. Not on the list on that day or any other in the near future is last year’s highly controversial “The Path to 9/11.”

The $40-million, five-hour ABC miniseries, which recently received seven Emmy nominations and drew a combined two-night audience of more than 25 million viewers, is for now on the path to nowhere. Its Amazon page reads: “Currently unavailable. We don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock.”

With no date for the release, questions are being raised about whether political pressure is behind its current status as a stalled or discarded DVD project. The reasons are murky, but the miniseries’ writer, Cyrus Nowrasteh, believes it’s crystal clear: Powerful forces are out to protect Bill Clinton’s presidential legacy and shield Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) from any potential collateral damage in her bid for the White House.

Nowrasteh, also one of the miniseries’ many producers, said he was told by a top executive at ABC Studios that “if Hillary weren’t running for president, this wouldn’t be a problem.””

Hillery hated the military who served at the white house during the copresidecy. She continues to display her true, abusive, anti-american self. I’m not questioning her patriotism, there just isn’t any there to question.

“Fined group tied to Hillary”
By Jim McElhatton
September 27, 2007

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “At least four persons who worked for the America Coming Together (ACT) fundraising group, which the Federal Election Commission recently fined $775,000, work directly for the Clinton campaign or hold top positions with consulting firms hired by it.

In addition, the group’s former president, longtime Clinton aide Harold Ickes, has been identified as a volunteer adviser to the Clinton campaign. In FEC filings, the campaign listed a debt to Mr. Ickes of more than $2,000 for travel-related costs.

Funded with millions of dollars from billionaire George Soros, America Coming Together (ACT) misused about $70 million in “soft money,” uncapped donations that aren’t supposed to be used to urge election or defeat of a candidate, the FEC determined, saying that some of the money was spent on direct-mail and telemarketing efforts aimed against President Bush and Republicans in key battleground states in 2004.”

Election ‘08: What does the Clinton campaign’s use of convicted and disgraced Sandy Berger as an adviser say about the judgment of someone who wants to be president of the United States?

Berger’s tie to Hillary through his service as national security adviser to husband Bill is not a compelling reason to seek his counsel. Neither is a Clinton friendship with Berger that goes back 35 years.

This is a man who was charged and convicted of the unauthorized removal of classified material from the national archives, not someone with a sparkling resume of success.

Clinton can pass off his 2003 theft as an “honest mistake,” as Berger claimed, or just another humorous example of Berger’s renowned sloppiness.

But the facts say he stuffed his clothes with classified material and left the building with it. He also destroyed at least one document that was linked to the Clinton White House’s record on terrorism, hid some at a construction site and lied about having the material.
