Psalm 139
13 For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mothers womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.
Thank You, Father, for America. Thank You for the sweetness of liberty and the joy of freedom that our forefathers fought so desperately to obtain. We pray that liberty, justice, and freedom truly would reign in this land through You, our God. Bless the people of our nation, Father. Bless those who work hard for their families. Bless those who reach out to help their neighbors. Bless those who stand ready to defend us against those who seek our destruction. And bless those who share the love of God with all those they meet.
Father, on this solemn day we pause to remember the 40 million babies murdered through abortion in this nation since the Supreme Court granted citizens the right destroy innocent human life. We ask for Your merciful forgiveness, Father. We know that one day we will all be held accountable for our own actions regarding abortion. You will ask us what we did to stop the killings. What did we do to try to change the hearts and minds of the people? Did we pray? Did we shrug our shoulders in quiet defeat, believing there was nothing we could do to stem the tide? Oh, Lord, please let each of us find a way to make a difference. We know that You do extraordinary things through ordinary people. We pray that we would present ourselves before You---ready and willing to do what You lead us to do to end this holocaust.
We pray for Your blessings upon all those who have made the march to Washington, bearing the bitter cold to take a stand for the unborn. We pray for Your mighty intervention in the hearts and minds of the American people, including our judges and legislators. Change us as a nation, Lord, so that the unborn children will be safe among us and brought to life---that the glorious creations You have made may be honored and protected.
We ask for Your blessings upon our nations leaders, Father. May Your hand guide them through every day, and may every decision they make bring glory and honor to You. Protect our President and Vice-President from the wicked desires of the devil, and set these men on a high place. Reward them for their faithfulness to You. Reward our President for his pro-life stand. Give courage to all those in Washington who are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Fortify their hearts with Your Spirit, and never let them fight any battles alone. We pray for the seed of the Gospel to be sown in miraculous ways in our nations capital, and that there would be a bountiful harvest there in the coming years.
Bless those who pray for America, Father. Help them to know that they are honoring You and doing what You have asked them to do. We pray for the people of Iraq, that they may be set free to know the joy of loving You. Strengthen each prayer warrior who visits this thread, and raise up for us new soldiers of Christ to add to our troops, that we may bring down from heaven Your hand upon this land. We lay all these requests at the foot of the cross, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Joining together with you all in prayer for our President and our country, our people, our purpose.
May His will be done.
Amen. Bump!
God's blessings on you, sweet 'Whosie'. Love you, dear. : )
God bless GW!
Praying for President Bush as he leads this nation.
Amen and Amen.
