Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus, I request your prayers for my darling husband who has been stricken with a rare esophageal cancer. We have spent the last couple of months running tests and trying to keep his strength up.

He was admitted to the hospital last Friday for a feeding tube and they have been building his strength up. He told me this morning that the Doctor said she would teach me how to administer the nutrition pack at home so he can come home for a few days and be with us. I am looking forward to his being home because it is so hard to see his truck in the driveway and know that he is not in our home waiting for me and our son.

He will go in for surgery next Wenesday, there is a one in five chance that he will die on the operating table. This is so hard to absorb, he has never used alcohol, smoked, or used drugs, and he is only 48 years old and healthy his entire life. God in his mercy and wisdom helps us climb life's moutains, and in his mercy and wisdom at times removes them. David and I would so appreciate your prayers.

Have hope also in the fact that cancer technology has made remarkable progress just over the past few years. My cousin was diagnosed with aggressive cancer in his back, liver, brain, and lung just a month ago, and as chemotherapy and radiation treatments progress, it's all been reduced by over 30%.
