Toothbrush tops invention survey

Students, adults asked which tool they couldn’t live without

MSNBC

Jan. 21 — What’s more important, your toothbrush or your computer? The answer seems obvious, but what if the question becomes: “Which could you not live without?” A survey released Tuesday found that the lowly toothbrush beat out computers, cars, cell phones and microwaves as the “must-have” tool.

I was asked this question during a Table Topics session at Toastmasters. The answer was obvious. we need look no further than Richard Nixon's old friend Bebe Rebozo. He established his fortune on an invention which changed the course of history.

He invented the valve which operates/delivers product from an aerosol can. Therefore, everything from shaving cream, to cheese spread, to insect repellant, to underarm deoderant, to shaving lotion, to topical medications to furniture polish to well......I could go on and on.

I can't imagine a football, hockey, basketball or baseball game in the comfort of my Lazyboy without that Cheese Wizz and some Ritz Crackers and of course muh beer! Why it'd be the Dark Ages.......

I once invented a hybrid I named a SPICHEN. It was a cross between a large South American spider and a white leghorn chicken. It had eight drum sticks and spun its own chicken pens. Peta banned it.

Trajan88; TAMU Class of '88

p.s. Heddy Lamar, Ava Gardner, Vivien Leigh, Grace Kelly, Sandy Bullock, and Brooke Burke among other hotties are pretty good "inventions" too.

Best invention? One the Lord built by hand. My wife. Unfortunately, He did not provide an owners manual so I'm still not sure how she works yet. Just when I think I have things all figured out she has an unexpected malfunction. Which she says is "due to operator error". Which would be me.

The positively best invention ever discovered yet to date, is the aerosol can spray-nozzle.

How does it know when the players are there?

It's designed to let the television viewer know when the player is there.

There was a time when that computer generated yellow line was not shown......it was up to the viewer to survey the field's yard markers in conjunction with the 1st down markers on the sideline in order to know where exactly the ball had to cross to make a first down......

Now, with this new technology, I can be well into my 2nd 6 pack and STILL have somewhat of a clue.

Hedy LaMarr invented something that is quite ubiquitous today, (and how often can you use the word UBIQUITIOUS?)

Hedy Lamarr ladi the ground work and received a patent for

Cell Phone Technology
