Ha! I remember those days of counting down the minutes.

Enjoy it while it lasts. They're off and running before you can blink.

My 17 year old is off to pick up Chinese food and go to a friends house. No school tomorrow or Friday. The semester ended today.

My 19 year old just called and asked if she and her boyfriend could stop and bring home dinner. I cooked the last three nights and he was here every night so I guess they appreciate it and turn about is fair play.

Hubby's working late and they're bringing in food there.

I do miss those nights of little cut up pieces of ham and cubed carrots and peas though. Spaghetti-o's all over the face and tippy cups that never seem to stop them from spilling anyway.

I guess what I'm saying is I loved all of it. From then to now. Kids are our gifts to the world and to ourselves.

But when it's only 9 minutes and 48 seconds to bedtime, well that's a blessing in itself ;)

LOL...so true. When it got really trying, I'd remind myself that someday they'd be grown up and gone and the house would be VERY empty. They did. It is. But I DO have all those memories - like never give one of your kids the camera so he can take the Christmas pictures because you have pneumonia and need all you energy just to cook Christmas dinner...

You should SEE the pics from that year : very clear, point blank photos of scowling faces threatening dire consequenses if don't "knock it off!!" and "give ME a turn!!" "Mom gave ME the camera!"

LOL...those were the days. They didn't break the camera though!
