So wait a minute --- here we have the coen brothers admitting (see bold above) that the murders didn't even take place in Minnesota, but according to your post, the opening credits say that it did take place in Minnesota ??? Hmmm --- sounds like the "truth" from a typical hollyweird liberal... Heck, anything to make money, right ???

The opening credits DO say that the movie is a true story based on Murders in Minnesota in 1987.

I gave you the link so you could see that if someone really investigates it, that the murders did not take place in Minnesota, but what 99% of the people who watch Fargo see, is that opening credit that says it is a true story from Minnesota, and that is all they see.

Is the "truth" what a few people say, like Bigfoot and UFO's?, or is the "truth" what 99% of the people believe?

I see your point --- it sure seems that so many of the sheeple believe anything they hear without doing any checking or verification at all.
