[history]
Kristin Smart, 19, of Stockton, disappeared May 25, 1996.
San Luis Obispo detectives are looking at Scott Peterson in connection with the disappearance of a college student nearly seven years ago.
Peterson, husband of Laci Peterson, went to Cal Poly at the same time as Kristin Smart, who disappeared May 25, 1996.

I read somewhere that there was no body recovered from the San Luis River and that the reports were in error. I'll get it if I can remember where I saw it.
As far as a book goes, I'm beginning to wonder about the number of chapters.

Scott's stepfather in law also said that Scott was on the verge of tears all the time and lost 20 pounds. He does not look on the verge of tears by that photo at the vigil.

I think that picture is so shocking to me...I try and imagine how the life would be sucked out of me if someone I loved (spouse, baby etc) were missing with horrible scenerios possible and if I could even Laugh at anything.
I mean picture your pregnant wife - baby - missing with foul play most likely...it would be hard to even get out of bed and not want to die. Thats my take on it, and there is nothing normal about how this man behaves.
He's guilty to me...there is no other explanation - except he's a social path too.

"I'm going to come back to Modesto and open my own volunteer center and find my wife and my kid," he said. I say let him being that he knows the location of his wife's body. He must have realized that he can't collect on the life insurance anytime soon without the body found.
Writing style isn't exactly reliable but his handwriting on that poster indicates to me someone very happy about their future, with lines sloping upwards and stokes shooting up like rockets. You could have thought he'd won the lottery.

I cannot understand closing the volunteer center permanently. I realize that the family has probably concluded that Laci is not alive, but whether she is or not, there is still a body out there. Closing the center just seems so final. Unless they have found the body and the info has not been released to the public yet?

Adultery is something that seems so attractive in the short-run and ruins so many people in the long run. I have seen many children deeply hurt by it. As one girl defined the commandment against adultery in catechism class, "You should not take something that belongs to someone else." Her parents divorced over adultery. I thought that was a poignant definition.

Who would know better if someone HAD drapes or OPENED their drapes every morning??? The NEIGHBORS of course. Yes, I remember this being reported by a neighbor, someone on the thread ridiculed it, but small details like this are meaningful. If people 'always' do something there is generally a good reason why they suddenly don't repeat the pattern. Like not being there to do so.

Yesterday, after the family called off, the volunteer effort to find Lacy. A poster,Cherry, asked,"you have to ask yourself what the family ws told that was so conclusive they closed down the volunteer centors?" I wonder,if detectives, had told, the family, that Scott, was a person of interest in another missing woman case?

Scott's in-laws probably feel naive after standing by him for so long and the volunteers likely feel cheated after the past couple of days. But, is there anybody stupid enough to volunteer at Scott's "volunteer and search" center?

Scott will probably get some sympathizers to work at his volunteer center. If he did it, he either hid the body where it will never be found, thus goodbye insurance money, or he hid it where it could be found. If the latter is the case, he has to in some way, without drawing attention to himself, lead everyone in that direction towards the body. How do we know that he did not stage a kidnapping from the beginning including taking the baby from her body and getting rid of it seperately? Nothing would surprise me at this point.

On the subject of adultery, one Scott Peterson has a saying that he attached to an email.
Do infants enjoy infancy as much as adults enjoy adultery.
If it is the same Scott Peterson it is quite telling. Link

Try some chai tea in the morning, it's wonderful.
Regarding the curtains - Columbo would know that this is important.

I remember reading that before Scott attended California Polytechnic State University, he had gone to another college, but had left suddenly. Does anyone remember the name of that college? It was in an early article. Wonder what could have happened there.
