We need to come up with a "war" symbol that we all can wear proudly, to counteract all the ding dongs who are going to be wearing peace symbols in the days to come.
I was thinking of maybe a circle with a stick guy kicking another stick guy in the keister.
Ideas? If nothing else this ought to spark an amusing thread.

I like that one. I think the b-52 would be the best choice. It has a long fuselage and wings that would really look like a peace symbol when placed inside a circle, and there is simply no bigger can of airborne whoop ass anywhere.

How about using the W finger sign to stand for Dubya, Win & War?

That goes without saying, but I was looking for something along the lines of the christian fish being modified to have legs with "darwin" written inside. I want to co-opt and mock the peace symbol all at once. I think the b-52 inside a circle would do that nicely.

It's kinda crummy looking but I don't have anything worth a crap to draw with. Somebody else can do better I'm sure.

I can't find an example, but there was a modified version of the "peace symbol" back during the Cold War. If you looked closely, the downswept "legs" of the design were narrowed toward the ends - like swept-back bomber wings. There were two little lines resembling jet engine nacelles on each "wing". Beneath the symbol was the caption: "DROP IT!!" Yep, it was a peace symbol morphed into a B-52 silhouette. Appropriate, since the B-52 can make an area peaceful in one heck of a hurry. :-)

I remember a T shirt, it had the old peace symbol on it. It said "peace the old fashioned way," but in place of the lines in the middle of the circle it had the silhouette of a B-52.

The "w" hand sign would work fine, but if there's an html guru out there who can take the ancient symbol for steel as reproduced in Rudolph Koch's Book of Signs and paste it here, I think it would be acceptable, paintable and easily drawn counter to the footprint of the American chicken.

Here's an entertaining one, from strategic-air-command.com.
Something about grabbing the enemy in a manner such that their hearts and minds will follow:
Surely one of our resident Photoshop wizards could have great fun with this.

That is a winner.

That pic would be good, but Uncle Sam looks like Richard Gere.

I forgot:
From Symbols.com, which seems to have every symbol known to man.

I was about to say..."where did you find that?".. I just read a book called "The Three Books of Occult Philosophy" by Henry Cornelius Agrippa of Nettesheim (14th century), Donald Tyson, editor..and that may have been a symbol of war that you were speaking of.
When the US goes to war, isn't a congressional decree enough..or do we need a specific symbol?

We already had the oil and walked away from it in 91.
After we put out all the fires,of course. Would have been a perfect opportunity to stay and "protect" them. We walked away. You are an idiot. It's not about--oh never mind.

Here's a quickie.
I'm not too sure about the slogan though. Someone else might have a better idea for that.
