Where in the New Testament (the BASIS for Christianity) does it condone genocide?

The Korans reference to murder and mayhem were for then and evermore. The OT admonitions to kill the Amelekites were for then and only them.

Your moral equivalance is absurd and anti-intellectual.

My point is that if you take a single verse from the bible, and a single verse from any other religous book; without reference to context; you can BIAS at will.

I am not making any moral equivalance between Christiantiy and Islamic religons. Please read the posts before flaming.

I thought the 10 Commandments was the foundation that Christitantity was built on. That is in the OT, unless I am sorely mistaken.

The OT admonitions to kill the Amelekites were for then and only them.

And the limitation and conditions for this are all contained in a single verse? Or may a Muslum plaster a single incriminating verse on a billboard as this pastor did?

. Correction. The Old Testament is the "basis" for Chrisitaity.

This is a common mistake made by many Christians and it results in an unfortunate mental and philosophical detachment from what are the underpinnings of the Christian faith.

Study the teachings of Paul (The book of Romans in particular) and also recall that Jesus said he came to fulfil the law and the prophets, not to destroy them.

Bill, you are taking the words of Allah's Prophet, Muhammed, May Peace be upon Him, way out of context here.

If you will but open your lying infidel eyes and see the truth of Q'ran, you will have everlasting peace. love and happiness. But Allah and the Prophet Muhammed, May Peace be Upon Him, are not cruel. Should you choose not to convert, Islam graciously offers you, as it has many hundreds of thousands of Christians in the Sudan, East Timor, Kosovo, Pakistan, and oh so many other places, the peace of Christian Martyrdom, and a place in Paradise as a slave of one of the Faithful.
