They just said on Fox that the last two days the inspectors have been working with US intelligence sources to make their inspections. Looks like our intelligence was correct and they haven't even given them everything we have.

This means war.

The warheads are now empty but no one knows what happened to the chemicals. IIRC, chemical shells are usually binary -- they're relatively inert until two different chemicals are mixed together at the time the shell explodes.
In that case, the binary "innards" might be stored apart from the shells themselves. The existence of these shells implies that Iraq may (and probably does) have the rest of the chemicals in storage someplace else.

Aw shucks, out there the daytime is pretty cheap, too!

That is why I think that the US has been slow to provide intelligence until we are ready which is right around the corner IMO.

Bingo. It will interesting to see what spin the left puts out. My bet is it will be along the lines of, " we destroyed the chemicals and forgot about the warheads." The whole charade reminds me of Jon Lovitz's character on Sat. Night Live a few years ago that was a pathological liar. He would say, " Yea, that's the ticket...." as he spun greater and greater lies to cover the last one.

It could mean the overthrow of Saddam by his military.
They know the strike's coming. Their lives depend on their getting rid of him.
Saddam just might flee to exile....hoping for a return some day.

They are checking one of the warheads for traces of chemicals so something must have alerted them. They have reported the warheads are in excellent condition.
Guess Annan should have kept his mouth shut about the Iraqi's cooperating. I detest the UN and their spokesman who is now on Fox weasel wording!

I think this would be a good time to post Ritter having a good smoke... Anybody got that pic handy?
To: PhiKapMom
I suppose we don't have to wait for the ground troops to fully arrive. The initial phase of the war will be a monstrous air assault, and we may be ready for that today. I don't know.

As per SOP you don't load the warhead contents until you are ready to launch, especially chemical.

UN spokesman saying he'll await word from Blix before speaking to the issue.
Says "tension in the air"
Nervous about "timelines." Says that's a call for the inspectors.
No one is asking inspectors to slow down. They are to get more experienced as time goes on and to then report.
