LACI PETERSON UPDATE- 1-14-03
Fox News- On The Record
| 1-14-03
| Greta Van Sustern
Posted on 01/15/2003 1:12:22 AM PST by DWar
Van Sustren interviewed 20 year Berkley Bay fisherman Craig Stone. Stone said that nothing about what Scott Peterson did on the fishing trip to Berkley Bay seemed out of the ordinary to him from a fishing viewpoint. The bait was appropriate and available. The sturgeon were available. The boat size was not unusual. The optimal fishing area was not far off shore. The fish are prized but not easily caught. The time of day peterson was fishing was appropriate. It all seemed plausable to him.

Thanks for the info about the policy. I normally detest the national enquirer because of their previous history of embellishing and down right lying about "people". But knowing that some people involved in some cases, from cops to friends, can have dollar signs in their eyes and really leak info to the tabloids it's possible that info is true.

Woman gets $40,000 for giving transcripts to National Enquirer
By Owen S. Good, Rocky Mountain News
November 28, 2002
BOULDER - A confidant of John and Patsy Ramsey sold handwriting samples and interrogation transcripts from their daughter's murder investigation to a supermarket tabloid for $40,000.
Susan Bennett, 51, of Hickory, N.C., who uses the name "Jameson" on Internet forums about the JonBenet Ramsey murder, insists she sold the material to the National Enquirer because she believed that its publication would prove the Ramseys' innocence.

I normally detest the national enquirer because of their previous history of embellishing and down right lying about "people" Me too; I won't ever buy their trash; however, this was reported, too, in the Modesto Bee, and a couple other places......how very said.

Really!? Well the cards are being revealed now aren't they?
It sure looks like he had something to do with it doesn't it.
I wonder if the cops have spoken to the girlfriend yet..

Here you go, kim:
The Modesto Bee
Modesto police told Laci Petersons family that her husband was having an affair and recently took out a $250,000 life insurance policy on her, a family member said Thursday. Detectives met with Laci Petersons side of the family Wednesday night to tell them why they believe Scott Peterson is responsible for the disappearance of his 27-year-old pregnant wife, the family member said.
Police refused to comment on the investigation Thursday, and Scott Peterson did not return calls Thursday night. I dont think she ever saw it coming, said the family member, who asked not to be identified. As to exactly what happened to her, I dont really know.
According to the family member, detectives told the family that:
Peterson took out a $250,000 life insurance policy on his wife last summer, after she got pregnant.
Peterson was having an affair with a woman in the Fresno area. Detectives showed family members pictures of Peterson and the woman posing together.
[snip]
Also, there's another posting of a link, somewhere, where there's CEMENT being mentioned.....that SP was using "to make anchors," supposedly, or something like that.....I'll try to find out what thread that's on.

I did read the info about the cement being found in a storage locker. Time to possibly look for a new poured foundation somewhere?
To: nicmarlo
Fox news just reported about the girlfriend, the insurance policy and that the cops sat down and told her family that they believe he had something to do with it.
To: ~Kim4VRWC's~
like, the Bay? where they've already been dredging? or another lake? And I read none of her shoes are missing, someone in FR suggested he custom made cement ones for her. This is grotesque, if true.

Fox news just reported This new "news" broke last night, around 9, I think; nothing from FOX till now? Guess they were wanting to ensure that what they reported were only facts, not speculation or rumor.

I'm almost too afraid to speculate about what he could have used the concrete for. :(
To: ~Kim4VRWC's~
guess that shows even FOX won't break news based on something being from the Enquirer....they want what will be perceived as a more credible source?

Fox could have reported it sooner..I've not had the tv on all morning. (I try to limit my news watching..too many depressing things to learn about)
To: ~Kim4VRWC's~
Fox could have reported it sooner I think so, too; makes me wonder why they didn't. (LOL, Enquiring minds want to know, you know.)

"Why do you bother even writing to me.. Mr Savage. You are so mean and scary. I'm too afraid to write anything!"
:rolling eyes:
You can quit rolling those bloodshot eyes of yours. Answer the question! Or are you too scared?? Why do you now call Scott Peterson a "...punk" when you NEVER chastized or condemned Damon and Brenda van Dam who are drug users, wife swappers, and bad parents???
Answer the question! Quit avoiding answering hard questions with your usual LOL or rolling eyes subscript!
