Van Sustren interviewed 20 year Berkley Bay fisherman Craig Stone. Stone said that nothing about what Scott Peterson did on the fishing trip to Berkley Bay seemed out of the ordinary to him from a fishing viewpoint. The bait was appropriate and available. The sturgeon were available. The boat size was not unusual. The optimal fishing area was not far off shore. The fish are prized but not easily caught. The time of day peterson was fishing was appropriate. It all seemed plausable to him.

So, they closed down the volunteer center. I predict that an arrest will take place this weekend.

Sometimes FOX doesn't do these stories till they get complete affirmation.

Now, we know why LE said they weren't clearing Scott as a suspect and why he kept a low profile.

Maybe they had one heck of a fight that night over the "girlfriend"?

I wonder if there were any other women that he was having affairs with? To have an affair does not a murderer make. However I agree with you bunnyslippers, I have always suspected that Scott is behind Laci's disappearance. Now I am convinced of it. He is more concerned with himself than his wife and unborn child? No. He is covering his tracks!

This is probably what the cop meant when he said to reporters "If you knew what we know, you'd know why we are searching the Bay".

I bet we wont see Laci's family saying how wonderful he is now. I feel so sorry for all of them after going on TV saying how much behind him they were!

I wouldn't. There has to be some evidence against this fellow other than he was having an affair and lying. If he did it ...and no evidence is found, he will walk. This happens often.

SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA -- A man whose pregnant wife has been missing since Christmas Eve spoke out for the first time about the disappearance.

Scott Peterson's wife, Laci, has been at the center of a massive search that has stretched from the San Francisco Bay area to the Sierra foothills.

A reporter asked Scott Thursday night about media reports that he was having an affair and about whether he was involved in her disappearance.

"I really don't care what people think of me as long as it continues to keep Laci's picture, description, tip-line in the media. They can think anything they want of me. Let's find Laci," Peterson said.

And many men have been convicted of first degree murder even when the body is never found. Like Thomas Capano, who killed his girlfriend and dumped her in the Atlantic Ocean from a boat; and Dr. Bob Beirenbaum, who killed his wife and dropped her into the Atlantic from his private plane.

ok this is bad news for scott. If it is true that he was mixing concrete and that laci is missing no shoes, I have to jump to the same conclusion as far as "concrete shoes". Also, it worries me still that they have not found the body, does anyone have any opinions about whether the body could have drifted out to sea? If so, it seems unlikely that she will ever be found. Scott can still be convicted of course....but it will be a much harder case for the prosecution. Does anyone remember the Anne Marie Fahey case? Campano was tried and convicted, the body was dumped in the ocean never found. Her body had been placed in a cooler which WAS found. He was also accompanied by his brother when he dumped the body.

I think the "tide is turning" on Scott.

Okay, you got me on Beirenbaum ... but then I did not really follow the case. But with Capano, he had torn out his blood soaked carpet and sofa.
