The Democrats are in the process of shutting down the Senate to stop the GOP from chairing Senate hearings.
This is going to be two years of total war. Let's see if the media notices!

I believe that a few other Committees have (Appropriations, Commerce) already agreed to accept Daschle's idea as well. Seems the filibusters and challenges the democrats are working.

Correct me If I am wrong, but did we not just spend the last two years getting OUR asses kicked, under the Very Same Funding formula?
Funding is nice, especially in a committee where there is research and other stuff to be done, but in Judiciary, it is raw voting Power that is the coin of the realm.... Nothing wrong with throwing a bone before you start exercising that power.
I don't think anyone hates Leaky more than I do, but, I can't see getting worked up over this. Just report my judges Out.

Susan Collins & Olympia Snow these RINO's from Maine can't be insultedAs a Mainer who's tried on many occasions to do just this, I concur.

Nope. Specter is next in line in 2005.
To: Howlin
How dumb is that?Real dumb.
D-U-M dumb.
supercalifradulisticexpialadocious dumb.
Trent Lott dumb.
I think those collars that Hatch wears has choked the blood supply to his brain for just a few seconds too long. Someone get that man some oxygen, he's obviously delusional.
To: Howlin
I know that he usually is pretty good on these things, just hoping this time I am hoping he is wrong.
Kyle is on now..a voice of reason in all this insanity.
To: marajade
If they keep this up, I hope the GOP uses EVERY SINGLE RULE they can to blast them back into the Stone Age. I'm sick of this crap.
We won. GET OUT.

Hatch has agreed to have equality in funding for Judiciary. Hillary must have slipped him a xeroxed copy of his FBI file.
To: colorado tanker
You dont watch Hatch too often I suspect. Borin Orrin usually rolls over on issues like this, but the kinds of things you are describing are what raises his ire, and gets him to fighting....

"Specter is next in line in 2005."
Well he might be looking at a strong primary challenge... let's hope he loses.
Hatch can't make a deal until he's chairman... the resolution hasn't been passed yet... and even so, this resoultion doesn't have any monies tied to it... Someone better get to Hatch and tell him, no. I think I'm going to call my senator, Kyl, and tell him to get with Hatch and stop him from doing it...

Oh baloney. Frist is just a manager of his parliamentarians and all the other little staffers that actually are the cogs and gears of the Congress. It's like grandpas playing Nintendo while the kids tell them what to do next to get through the Temple of Doom. Or whatever.

Reid lied??!! What a surprise LOL I know, I thought that when I wrote it, but I had to preface my comments somehow. There is a subtle orchestration by the rats to have a "shadow" government on every turn. It'll be interesting to see the outcome for Richardson, Daschle and Clintons on North Korea. The axis is still at work.

Here's a prediction...the Dems will screw this up, just like they did the Wellstone memorial....it's in their blood....Frist will not cave..he's too smart to give in...also, this will stiffen the backbone of the so-called moderate Republicans, Collins et al....they see the naked power game the Dems play...and watch..if this lasts till tomorrow..Zell Miller will become a Republican....
